History

East Bengal FC has been one of the finest footballing institutions in the country and have seen huge success since its inception in 1920. Legends like Pradip Kumar Banerjee and Amal Dutta have successfully managed East Bengal FC in the past. Subhas Bhowmick, Trevor James Morgan are the Managers who got numerous success for the Red and Golds in this Millenia.

List of East Bengal FC Managers

East Bengal FC have had a huge number of Managers and Coaches since its inception. The first-ever professionally appointed Coach/Manager for East Bengal FC was Sushil Bhattacharya in the year 1961.[1] Before that East Bengal FC's legendary secretary Late Shri J. C. Guha used to look and coach the team as he himself was a great player back in his days.[2]

In 2003-04 season, East Bengal FC brought in South African Kevin Jackson as the physical trainer for the team ahead of participating in the 2003 ASEAN Club Championship. He was the first foreign physical trainer that the club has ever roped in.[8][9]
