Liputan 6

Liputan 6 (The 6 Report) is a flagship television news program that broadcasts on the Indonesian TV station SCTV. Its slogan is "Aktual, Tajam, dan Terpercaya" (Actual, Sharp, and Trusted).[1]

The initial programs, Liputan 6 Sore (renamed Liputan 6 Petang on May 20, 1996) and Liputan 6 Malam was created on November 7, 1994, by the ex-anchor of TVRI from 1962 to 1994, Ahmad Syarief.[2] Throughout his career in TVRI, Syarief hosted Dunia Dalam Berita and Berita Terakhir). Liputan 6 is created with 15 crews, with other crews including Karni Ilyas, Riza Primadi, Tjandra Wibowo, and Jeremy Teti.

Programs

The show has been broadcast at varying times during the day, although "6" appeared in the title of all shows.

  • Liputan 6 Pagi – First aired August 24, 1996. Currently aired from 04:30–06:00 WIB.
  • Liputan 6 Siang – First aired March 10, 1997. Currently aired from 12:00–12:30 WIB.
  • Liputan 6 Petang – Aired May 20, 1996 until October 29, 2017.
  • Liputan 6 Malam – First aired February 4, 2003. Currently aired from 01:30–02:00 WIB.
  • Liputan 6 Terkini – Hourly news capsule. Currently aired weekdays at timeslots outside of Liputan 6 newscasts, for three minutes each. Since October 30, 2017, Liputan 6 Petang was no longer broadcast regularly due to increase of soap opera programming, although they still have some short news during afternoon time under the name "Liputan 6 Petang Terkini".
  • Liputan 6 Investigasi – First aired April 2, 2017. Currently aired from 01:00-01:30 WIB.
