Kim Jae-han

Kim Jae-han (born April 1, 1947) is former South Korean football player. He played as a target man by utilizing his height, jumping skills and positional sense. He also had confidence to find the spot where the ball will fall. Kim participated competitions of various sports during his early life. He decided to be a baseball player in Daegu High School, but his baseball team was disbanded while he attended the high school. He changed his career path to be a footballer and spent his youth career in Seonggwang High School and Konkuk University.[1] After the university graduation, Kim joined Korea Housing Bank FC. In 1972, his team won four national top-tier trophies and he was selected for the South Korea national team for the first time. He was picked in the South Korea squad for the 1974 FIFA World Cup qualification. He scored against Thailand and Hong Kong which helped South Korea reached to the final round. The aggregate score of the final against Australia was tied despite his goal, and South Korea lost in the replay match by 1–0.[2] Kim scored 33 goals in the national team with 58 caps. He won four Pestabola Merdekas, two Korea Cups and two King's Cups with his team.[3]
