John Spiros
John Spiros (born July 28, 1961 in Akron, Ohio) is an American businessman and politician. He and his wife Rebecca live in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Military service
Spiros served in the United States Air Force for six years and was part of an elite security squadron the 3906 SSS, which provided protection for 26 generals and the command center for the Strategic Air Command. He received the U.S Air Force Commendation Medal, and was honorably discharged after serving from 1979 to 1985.
Career
After leaving the service, he served as a police officer and has been employed in the transportation industry for 30 years. In 2009 he was awarded the ATA (American trucking Association) Safety Director of the Year Award. He served on the Board of Directors for the Transportation Industry Defense Association (TIDA) 2009–2018, and is the immediate past president of the organization. (2015-2017)
Prior to his 2012 election to the Wisconsin State Assembly,[1][2] Spiros served as a member of the Marshfield City Council for eight years (2005-2013) and was President of the Council in 2009. He also served as the Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee for five years. He is a past member of the Central Wisconsin State Fair Board of Directors. While on the council he served on the Marshfield Industrial Park Commission for seven years.[3] has been elected to three terms and is the current State Representative in District 86. In 2016 he received the American Heart Associations Legislator of the Year Award for authoring the CPR bill for public schools, which was signed into law by Governor Walker. He is the Chairman of the Criminal Justice Committee and Chairman of the Transportation Committee in the Wisconsin State Assembly.
