Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Arabic: إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ, ʾinnā li-llāhi wa-ʾinna ʾilayhi rājiʿūna) is a phrase mentioned in verse 2:156[lower-alpha 1] of the Qur'an meaning "Indeed we belong to Allah, and Indeed to Him shall we return The phrase is commonly recited by Muslims especially upon hearing news that a person has died.
