Marine Vocational Training
East Coast College offers several vocational training programmes. Some of the marine and boat building programmes are:[1]

2007 Chess Tournament
The 2007 British Chess Championships were held at the college.[3]
2010 Financial Issues
The college has announced a budget shortfall in the region of £1m and some staff redundancies are likely, but the Principal has guaranteed and assured that all students who are currently on a course will not be affected.
