Gray is a census-designated place (CDP) in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 7,958 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Houma–Bayou Cane–Thibodaux Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Gray is located at 29°40′52″N 90°46′53″W (29.680993, -90.781414).[1]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.6 square miles (30 km2), all land.
Demographics
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 4,958 people, 1,681 households, and 1,267 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 425.9 people per square mile (164.5/km2). There were 1,799 housing units at an average density of 154.5 per square mile (59.7/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 59.12% White, 36.55% African American, 2.26% Native American, 0.36% Asian, 0.36% from other races, and 1.35% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.49% of the population.
There were 1,681 households out of which 44.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.2% were married couples living together, 18.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.6% were non-families. 19.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.95 and the average family size was 3.39.
In the CDP, the population was spread out with 32.7% under the age of 18, 12.1% from 18 to 24, 30.3% from 25 to 44, 19.4% from 45 to 64, and 5.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 29 years. For every 100 females, there were 94.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.3 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $28,517, and the median income for a family was $35,727. Males had a median income of $31,827 versus $19,792 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $12,676. About 21.4% of families and 23.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 34.1% of those under age 18 and 14.3% of those age 65 or over.
