Giria, India
In 1740 a historical war happened between the little nabab of Bihar Alibordi kha and Bangla,Bihar,Odisha's Nabab Sarfaraj kha in this Giria maidan. Therefor that war is famous at our History called "The War of Giria". In that war Nabab Alibordi kha won and became the Nabab of Bangla,Bihar,Odisha.

Giria is a census town in Raghunathganj II CD Block in Jangipur subdivision of Murshidabad district in the state of West Bengal, India.[1]
Demographics
As per the 2011 Census of India, Giria had a total population of 17,131, of which 8,805 (51%) were males and 8,326 (49%) were females. Population below 6 years was 3,136. The total number of literates in Giria was 8,968 (64.08% of the population over 6 years).[2]
CD Block HQ
The headquarters of Raghunathganj II CD Block are located at Giria.[3]
