History
Galway County Council initially met in Tuam.[1] It subsequently acquired the old Galway Infirmary[2] and converted it into a new county headquarters.[3] A modern facility, known as County Hall (Irish: Áras an Chontae), was built on the same site and completed in 1999.[4]
