Exclusive economic zone of Pakistan

The Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of Pakistan is about 240,000 km2, with an additional continental shelf area of about 50,000 km2.[1]

In April 2009, Pakistan filed its case for extension of outer limits of its continental shelf, with the United Nations Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf (UNCLCS). On 19 March 2015, the UNCLCS completed its review and accepted Pakistan's claim for extension of its continental shelf limits.[2]
