Erik Nicolás López Samaniego (born 27 November 2001) is a Paraguayan footballer who plays as a forward for Atlanta United 2 in the USL Championship on loan from Club Olimpia.

Professional career

López joined the youth academy of Olimpia at the age of 13.[1] López made his debut for Olimpia in a 4-0 Paraguayan Primera División win over Deportivo Santaní on 25 August 2019, scoring a goal on his debut.[2] López scored 3 goals in his first 3 matches for Olimpia.[3]

On 18 July 2020, López joined USL Championship side Atlanta United 2 on loan for the 2020 season, and will join the Atlanta United first team on a permanent basis in January 2021.[4]
