Connie Jiménez

Connie Maily Jiménez Romero also knows as ‘’la maicera’’ (born November 19, 1995) is an Ecuadorian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Ecuador 2016 and represented Ecuador at Miss Universe 2016.[1]

Personal life

Jiménez was born and raised in Ventanas. She is an agribusiness engineer who studied at the University of Zamorano in Honduras. During her reign as Miss Ecuador, Jiménez assisted families affected by the 2016 Ecuador earthquake. She also associated herself with FUVIDA, a diabetes organization, and the Mariana de Jesus Hospital. In the latter case, Jiménez worked for the prevention of HIV infection of children born at the hospital.

Pageantry

On March 12, 2016, Jiménez was crowned Miss Ecuador 2016.[3] She was also awarded Mejor Figura Cielo (Best Body), Miss Photogenic and Miss Elegance.[4] She later represented her country at Miss Universe 2016, but failed to place in the Top 13.[3]

Politics

Connie Jiménez Romero is a candidate for Mayor in the 2019 mayoral race in the canton of Ventanas, Ecuador.
