Catalina Morales

Catalina Morales Gómez (born December 11, 1990) is a Colombia-born Puerto Rican[1] beauty pageants titleholder, lawyer, TV Host, model and author. She represented Guaynabo municipality at Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2015 and represented Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2015.

Personal life

Born in Medellín, Colombia, her family relocated to Puerto Rico when she was 6 months old and she was raised in Caguas. She studied from first to twelfth grade in Notre Dame, where she graduated with a 4.00 GPA. She studied Advertising and Public Relations at UPR Rio Piedras, graduating magna cum laude. She then took a year off before continuing her studies to take care of her father who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Her father died March 1, 2012 and she went on to continue her studies in law. While studying, she competed in the Miss Puerto Rico Universe pageant, and won. After she competed in the Miss Universe pageant, she continued working in TV and graduated from law school, completing her Juris doctor.

Miss Italia nel Mondo 2008

Catalina represented Puerto Rico at Miss Italia nel Mondo in 2008.[2][3]

Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2015

On October 9, 2014, Catalina represented Guaynabo at the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2015 pageant where she beat out 44 other contestants and won the title, gaining the right to represent Puerto Rico at Miss Universe. She also won the awards of Miss Sears Best Style and TRESemmé Most Beautiful Hair Award.[4]

Miss Universe 2015

Catalina represented Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2015 on December 20, 2015 where she competed to succeed the 2014 titleholder, Paulina Vega of Colombia. She failed to place in the Top 15.

TV

On June 11, 2015, Catalina started hosting her own TV segment called "Catalina's Universe" on the show 'Viva La Tarde' to be aired every Thursday on WAPA TV.
