Name

In Serbian, the village is known as Martinci (Мартинци), in Croatian as Martinci, and in Hungarian as Martinc. It was named upon Saint Martin. The name of the village in Serbian is in the plural, and therefore it is grammatically correct to refer to it as "Martinci are" instead of "Martinci is". A hypothetical singular version of the name would be Martinac.
