It is situated about 25 km from Channarayapattana in Hassan district. The prefix Agrahara indicates that the village housed a large number of Brahmin Scholar families who were said to have been performing the Shatkarmas (adhyayana-adhyaapana, yajana-yaajana, daana-pratigrahaNa). But now it has reduced to a meagre 3-4 families.

Attractions

This village has a temple, popular as Keshaveshwara, and now known as Basavanna. The village also consists of other temples including:

  • Katteppa (Ganapati) temple

gollark: *cough*Bedrock Edition*cough*
gollark: It'd be easy to multithread minecraft versus some other stuff, even.
gollark: You know, back in ye olden days of Minecraft, it was actually well-optimized and didn't allocate hundreds of megabytes of data a second. Sigh.
