Acochaca District
Acochaca or Aquchaka (Quechua aqu sand, chaka bridge, "sand bridge") is one of two districts of the province Asunción in Peru.[1]

Ethnic groups
The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (92.67%) learnt to speak in childhood, 6.99% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[2]
