Abkhazian Che is used in the alphabet of the Abkhaz language, where it represents the voiceless retroflex affricate /ʈʂ/. In the alphabet, it is placed between ⟨Џ⟩ and ⟨Ҿ⟩. The letter resembles Latin lowercase e, and Cyrillic lowercase ye (е)
