Friendlies

Due to government rules introduced during the coronavirus pandemic, Hibs were restricted in their pre-season activities. Contact training was only permitted from Monday 29 June,[2] and Hibs played only against other Premiership clubs during pre-season.[3] One of those training matches had to be called off due to a delay in obtaining coronavirus test results.[4]

Hibs had reached the semi-finals of the 2019–20 Scottish Cup before the coronavirus pandemic stopped all football activity in Scotland. Their semi-final against Hearts, which was originally due to be played in April, was rescheduled for the weekend of 31 October / 1 November.[7]
