2008 Virginia Beach mayoral election
The Virginia Beach mayoral election of 2008 took place on November 4, 2008. Voters elected the Mayor of Virginia Beach. It saw the election of Will Sessoms, who unseated incumbent mayor Meyera Oberndorf (ending her two-decade tenure as the city's mayor).
