2008 New South Wales Swifts season

The 2008 New South Wales Swifts season was the inaugural year of the ANZ Championship. In 2008, the team were coached by Julie Fitzgerald, with long-time shooter Catherine Cox serving as captain. The 2008 Swifts roster featured Australian representative players Selina Hornibrook, Susan Pettitt, Rebecca Bulley and Kimberlee Green.

After 13 round-robin matches, the Swifts were placed second on the ladder with 10 wins and three losses, behind the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic. The Swifts qualified for the finals, defeating the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic 57-56 in the Major semi final, advancing to the grand final. The New South Wales Swifts defeated the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic 65-56 to win the inaugural ANZ Championship.
