2002 Teen Choice Awards
The 2002 Teen Choice Awards ceremony was held on August 19, 2002, at the Gibson Amphitheatre, Universal City, California. The awards celebrate the year's achievements in music, film, television, sports, fashion, comedy, video games, and the Internet, and were voted on by viewers living in the US, aged 13 and over through various social media sites.[1] The event had no designated host but Britney Spears and Verne Troyer introduced the show with Nelly, Jennifer Love Hewitt and BBMak as performers. Reese Witherspoon received the Extraordinary Achievement Award.

gollark: I assume there are some which can deal nicely with nucleotides going missing instead of just bit flips.
gollark: So instead I'd use an actual error correcting code which is principled™.
gollark: This would break that.
gollark: Obviously there can sometimes be errors which don't affect functionality, since DNA has redundancy.
gollark: They'd initially checksum their genes against the cell they replicated from, and after that just make sure the MACs check out.
