China successfully defended their title they won three years ago also held in Manila, this time after defeating Chinese Taipei in the championship match. The tournament host, the Philippines, avenged their quarterfinal loss to Japan by defeating them in the battle for third place.

gollark: No, I probably could be convinced *somehow*, it's just unlikely that you have new relevant information?
gollark: Because everyone in large tech companies is entirely trustworthy?
gollark: But if they go to Microsoft, which contains thousands of "random dude[s]", that's okay?
gollark: It is, in fact, worse for your privacy than not having data collection.
gollark: You realise that "didn't happen to me" doesn't mean "always false"?
