  • 25 March – Bangladeshi armed forces allegedly attacked the village of Kawkhali and left about 300 dead.[3]
  • 1 April - New regulation came into effect enabling the protection of foreign investments in Bangladesh from Government actions like nationalization and expropriation.[4]
  • May - The village level administrative bodies were formed for the first time under the title of "Swanirvar Gram Sarkar" (Self-sufficient village Government).[5]

gollark: You're quite literally metaphorically acting like a repressive authoritarian government (I mean, not torturing people and such, but denying the existence of opposition, thinking you're the only one who can save the people from themselves, censoring anything (invites) which *might be* opposition), except with less power since you can't stop people directly communicating with each other.
