Summary

The team played a decent season with Hansen and Præst were joined by another Dane, captain of the 1948 Olympic team Karl Aage Hansen,[1] who came from Serie A league rivals Atalanta Bergamo. The great level of understanding of those three great Danes delivered a superb campaign joined by Giampiero Boniperti[2] reached a milestone of 103 goals scored.

However, coach Jesse Carver was fired by the club in next August after the 3rd place on League table behind Milan and Inter.[3]
