The 1922 Cal Poly Mustangs football team represented California Polytechnic School[note 1] during the 1922 college football season.

Cal Poly was a two-year school until 1941, and competed in the South Division of the California Coast Conference (CCC). This was the first year for the CCC and there were only nine conference games played by the eight member teams. Cal Poly only played two conference games.

The Mustangs were led by second-year head coach Al Agosti and played home games in San Luis Obispo, California. They finished the season with a record of one win and three losses (1–3, 0–2 CCC). Overall, the Mustangs were outscored by their opponents 13–70 for the season, including being shut out in all three of their losses.
