- R. E. Merwin leads Harvard University's Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology project at Lubaantun.
- Alfred V. Kidder (director of the Southwestern Expedition for Phillips Andover Academy) excavates Pecos Pueblo, New Mexico (ending 1927).
- Earl Halstead Morris excavates Twin Angels Pueblo.
- Nijmegen Helmet is found in the Netherlands.

gollark: I would probably try and implement more personalised curricula using computers, which our education system mostly ignores, instead of just shoving people in classes with others who like different things and may learn some things at different rates.
