1906 South Dakota gubernatorial election
The 1906 South Dakota gubernatorial election was held on November 6, 1906, to elect a Governor of South Dakota to a two-year term. The incumbent governor, Samuel H. Elrod, chose not to seek re-election.[1] Republican nominee Coe I. Crawford was elected, defeating Democratic nominee John A. Stransky, Prohibition Party candidate Knute Lewis, and Socialist Party candidate Freeman Knowles.
