Petris Fillit's treatise on oozefish

Petris Fillit's treatise on oozefish was a two hundred and thirty-two page long treatise on oozefish by Petris Fillit. It was housed on a floating-lectern in the Great Storm Chamber Library. The treatise covered everything from the third lid oozefish possessed over their mating rituals to where they lived and how they could be removed if one became attached.[1]

The treatise was used as a punishment for disobedient under-librarians who had to memorize the whole treatise.[1]

Role in Vox

Rook had to memorize the treatise as punishment for talking in class. This came in handy when two oozefish attached themselves to his legs when Rook swam though the Edgewater River. He knew to remove them by sliding the tip of the blade of his sword into the oozefish's secondary gill.[1]
