Oozefish
Oozefish were white predatory fish, capable of living in both the Edgewater River and the Mire mud. They had three eyelids and several lines of gills[1] . When hunting, oozefish attached themselves to their prey, pulled them into the Edgewater River or the Mire mud, and held onto them until they drowned or suffocated. An attacking oozefish could be removed by plunging a sharp object into their secondary gill, beneath their blowhole[1] . Though edible, oozefish had a slimy, bitter taste, but fishmongers sold them in Undertown, displayed on ice[2]. Their bones were used for divination by some charlatans in Sanctaphrax[citation needed].
Petris Fillit wrote a treatise on oozefish[1].
