Lentis was the surname of an opulent fourthling family in the Third Age of Flight.

Family History

Ancestry

The Lentis family were descended from the junior branch of the Verlix family, and were therefore related to Vox Verlix. Quove Lentis later claimed the family was descended from Vox,^[1] though this was untrue because he died childless.

Late Third Age of Flight

In the late Third Age of Flight, the Lentis family was a wealthy family from Great Glade. Quove Lentis became a powerful academic and High Professor of Flight. His sister Hermia married the mine sergeant Abe Quarter, with whom she had a son, Nate Quarter. Quove was enraged be the marriage and ordered the murder Abe Quarter's brother Thadeus. He also targeted his son, Cade and started a war against New Sanctaphrax, presumable also because Nate was Sanctaphrax's High Academe Elect.
