Leechwaifs

Leechwaifs were a rare variety of waif found in the Nightwoods. Like all waifs, they possessed the ability to communicate silently through telepathy. Similarly to barkwaifs, flitterwaifs and bloodwaifs, they roamed wild in the Nightwoods, preying on unwary travellers on the Waif Trail. They were mentioned in The Immortals.
