Fountain House

The Fountain House School was a school in Sanctaphrax which provided basic weather-study training. After graduating, its students would typically move to a more specialised school such as the College of Rain or the Knights' Academy. Students sometimes referred to the building as the "Holey Bucket".

Architecture

The building was topped with an enormous metal dish. In heavy storms the dish would overflow, sending the water through an intricate pipe system to produce elaborate fountain jets and streams which emanated from the dome, the water cascading down to an ornamental moat, populated by birdfish. In good weather the white ravens used the dish as a birdbath. The halls of the Fountain House were lined with portraits of various professors who had taught at the school through the centuries.
