I often hear this term used "We have a T1"... used on SF and other sites. I googled it and it seems like an ancient technology possibly related to frame relay but I'm not sure.

We are in a semi-rural area, so our internet connection options are pretty limited.
We currently pay about $500/month for a dedicated T1 line at 1.5/1.5 Mbps from the local ISP. In comparison, Comcast is offering a 16/2 Mbps "business" internet…

VOIP T1 vs Fiber
Currently using a T1 (1.544Mbps) for what I think is pricey sum of 500 a month. Found I could get 30/30 fiber for about the same price. Would there be any downside to switching to fiber, I would think it's better, since we can merge VOIP with daily…
