Root partition size on hp-unix

I have HP-Unix 11.11 installed on an HP-9000 series server. I want to know what happen to the server if the root partition gets full? Will this affect the RAM or crash the server? Also, will any applications running on the server be affected?

rsh connection from Linux to HP times out

I added Linux boxes to /etc/hosts.equiv and .rhosts file for rsh connectivity to an HP box. I am able to do rsh as root from Linux to HP. But if I run in a root shell as different user connection times out. Any reason?
