TruthWiki
TruthWiki is a website that purports to publish "truth". Instead, it is uniformly pro-pseudoscience and pro-conspiracy. If scientific consensus says X, TruthWiki will calmly explain that X is just a government plot to keep the wool over your eyes. TruthWiki is, in fact, created and run by Mike Adams of NaturalNews.[1][2] Unsurprisingly, then, many, many of its sources are from NaturalNews or from pages that host NaturalNews posts, and its tone alone closely resemble NaturalNews's (both are anti-science conspiracy-mongering and slinging mud on people they don't like).
Some dare call it Conspiracy |

Despite claiming to be a wiki, none of TruthWiki's entries are editable by the public (compare Wikipedia and RationalWiki, even Conservapedia pretends that the public can edit it), and it does not use wiki software. Instead, TruthWiki is essentially a collection of blog posts presented as fact. Indeed, it is run on Wordpress[3] with a typical blog format. Just five authors have written all of TruthWiki's posts.[4] Just like NaturalNews, if TruthWiki likes you, you're probably not doing something right.
Purpose
According to its creator, Mike Adams, TruthWiki is:[1]
A site that dares to tell the truth about controversial and alternative topics: free energy, consciousness, parallel universes, the Federal Reserve, fluoride, aspartame, vaccines, etc… plus all the people and corporations who need to be exposed for who they truly are.
In short: to publish any bullshit that feels "alternative".
Scope
According to Alexa, TruthWiki doesn't get many views. It is currently ranked about 1,000,000th in the world. Despite that, Alexa reports that 400 sites link to it.[5]
On vaccines
TruthWiki has an article on "Vaccine Fanaticism"[6] (but not on "vaccines"[7]). The page reads:
Fanaticism, as defined by Merriam-Webster, is a "fanatic outlook or behavior especially as exhibited by excessive enthusiasm, unreasoning zeal, or wild and extravagant notions on some subject." Vaccine fanaticism is no different. It is characterized by an unwavering devotion to vaccines without any thought to the very real risks and dangers caused by vaccines. Vaccine fanatics deny that any risks exist and declare that those who even question the efficacy and safety of vaccines are the dangerous ones to society.
[....]
In their efforts to force their beliefs on those around them, vaccine fanatics will go to great lengths to try to convince others, and to demonize anyone who doesn't share their point of view. This kind of zealous ideal used to be reserved for matters of religion. Religious fanatics also tended to demonize others, these were the people who ardently believed that their religion is the only "true religion" and everyone else is going to hell. Vaccine fanatics believe that they are the only scientifically minded ones, and everyone else is scientifically illiterate. In reality, it is more scientifically illiterate to blatantly ignore the dangers involved in vaccinations.
TruthWiki has articles on: "Mercury in Vaccines"[8], the MMR Vaccine[9], Flu Shot[10], Zika[11], "Polio – a true investigative history"
On skeptics
TruthWiki really doesn't like skeptics. In four sentences, they go from the dictionary definition of skepticism to Hitler to "skeptics are shills for Big Pharma":[15]
A skeptic is a person inclined to question or doubt accepted opinions or what seems rational and therefore accepted as the "norm." The "skeptical public" in the eyes of biotechnology are the people who don't understand how dangerous GMOs are, and so they are more likely to be brainwashed into believing they are good, useful, healthy and so forth, if presented with the right lingo, jargon and pro-GMO propaganda, sort of the way Adolf Hitler convinced millions of people he was a legitimate ruler with a legitimate mission, though he was a complete psychopath. A huckster is someone who cheers along what they know is a scam, for part of the "cut." The bigger the scam and the better the con and the huckster work together, the more clients they get and the better the score. Enter PR firms, sellout journalists, poser public scientists and shill (ex) TV producers who cheer along Monsanto, selling pesticide-laden seeds and growing pesticide-laden crops for the whole country to consume – leading them straight to the hospitals for chronic symptom sick care.
TruthWiki doesn't like Snopes,[16] Skeptical Raptor,[17] PolitiFact,[18] SciBabe,[19] Science-Based Medicine,[20] James Randi,[21] CSI,[22] Quackwatch,[23] Bill Nye,[24] or Neil deGrasse Tyson.[25]
TruthWiki really doesn't like David Gorski:[26][27]
Vaccine industry front man, spokesperson and ultimate apologist for the blogosphere, David H. Gorski, a.k.a. (pen name) ORAC, leads the pack in his efforts to obscure the vaccine-autism connection, promoting mercury in vaccines and calling everybody a skeptic who doesn’t bow down to chemical medicine. Since 2004, his blog title reads “Respectful Insolence” –which is an oxymoron meaning showing respect for people who show no respect for people, and this falls in line with the way he treats parents of vaccine-damaged children and the adults who have lived their whole lives with autism spectrum disorder, central nervous system disorders, immune-disorders and communication breakdowns in the brain. Gorski admits there are no facts on his blog, yet everything is in the name of “science-based medicine” or “evidence-based medicine,” which is supposed to be based on strict protocol of research, synthesis of information and publishing factual, real and reliable results. Gorski has been accused (Published May of 2012 by the “Refusers”) of fraudulently impersonating disease-injured families and making insane comments on message boards and vaccine freedom websites like Age of Autism, Mothering Magazine and even on Amazon forums. This is called pro-vax trolling and it’s an abomination.
On alternative medicine
TruthWiki breathlessly believes every damn single alternative medicine page. TruthWiki has glowing pages on NaturalNews[28] (of course since TruthWiki is created by Mike Adams), Burzynski Clinic[29], Dr. Oz,[30] Center for Food Safety,[31] and Food Babe.[32] They describe allopathic medicine thusly:[33]
Allopathic or “Western” medicine is the medical practice aimed at using drugs and surgery to combat symptoms of disease and disorder, and to provide temporary relief from pain, inflammation, nerve disorder and cell disorder (cancer). Infectious disease is allopathically addressed with vaccines that contain small doses of the live virus, genetically altered bacteria, emulsifiers, adjuvants (carriers), preservatives (mercury), and immune-response “activators” that shock the system into reaction in order to build antibodies that recognize the pathogens upon later invasion of the body. Invasive medical procedures and prescription drugs are the allopathic “answer” to chemical consumption results–the human body’s reaction to synthetics, processed foods, other chemical medicines, toxic personal care products, environmental toxins including industrial toxins, and the overall use of carcinogenic pesticides (GMO) used on agriculture.
They also like oregano,[34] quince,[35] quinoa,[36] bananas,[37] and cucumbers.[38] They describe Cannabidiol thusly:[39]
Made from the roots and stems of the cannabis plant, cannabidiol yields none of the psychoactive compound THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) that marijuana contains. Also known as the “ultimate preventative medicine,” “the miracle herb,” and even referred to as “the forbidden medicine,” CBD is a medical wonder, having anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties, including the support of mitochondrial function at the cellular level. Cannabis helps the body regulate insulin production and manage caloric intake more efficiently. As depression and cancer become widespread in the USA, and as so many Americans ingest toxins on a meal-to-meal basis, including pesticides, fluoride, mercury, lead, aspartame, MSG, PCBs, BPA (Bisphenol-A from plastics), , not to mention prescription medications, there is more and more need for natural medicine – that rebalances so many working systems of the body. Cannabiol (the latter part pronounced like “dial”) is a major phytocannabinoid and accounts for about 40% of the plant’s extract. With quite a broad scope of medical applications, CBD is still denied and denounced by the FDA and CDC. Currently, US politicians (and the pharma-industrial complex) are denying Americans their right to natural prevention, natural remedies and indigenous cures and that really work.
On global warming
It doesn't exist, because 2014 was colder than their vision of what they think climate change is:[40]
The year 2014, according to global warming proponents, was supposed to be the hottest year ever on Planet Earth, bringing with it horrible natural calamities all caused by billions of humans flogging natural resources and living irresponsibly. There was supposed to be a huge melt-off of sea ice in Antarctica, but conversely there was record sea ice there, so much that a global warming expedition ended up getting their boat stuck. Even Arctic sea ice increased, and the Great lakes only had three ice free months the whole year. Across the globe, record snowfall was experienced, as climate change activists and the mass media tried their best NOT to cover these anti-warming “events.” Record cold days were recorded instead of record heat days. Al Gore was proven by Mother Nature to be completely wrong all along.
On the 2016 U.S. Presidential election
TruthWiki really likes Donald Trump. Supposedly he tells the truth, he "woke up" America, and will remove "crooked politicians and corporate interests" from our democracy:[41]
On January 20, 2017, Donald John Trump will take office as the 45th U.S. President. Having defeated Hillary Rodham Clinton in what many call the greatest ever upset victory and even a "miracle," Trump's landslide election victory defied all odds and completely surprised millions of "sleeping" Americans who thought the Clinton and Obama regimes could not be stopped. Every major mass media outlet in America, whether television, radio, newspaper or internet, claimed that Clinton had a massive lead and that it was virtually useless for Trump to even keep campaigning. Trump, a billionaire businessman, real estate developer and TV personality, simply told the truth about so many topics, current and past, that the country woke up and realized that the only way to fix a broken system was to "drain the swamp" of the crooked politicians and corporate interests that ruined democracy in the first place, and nearly crippled the beloved Constitution.
We're still waiting on that swamp draining thing, by the way.
It's very interesting that TruthWiki doesn't seem to like Trump for his policies, but instead because he was the candidate enamored by conspiracists (e.g., Alex Jones). Conversely, this is how they describe Hillary Clinton:
Hillary Rodham Clinton, a.k.a. the “Bride of Frankenfood,” is best known for her continued endorsement of genetically modified organisms in food, as she reiterates, word for word, the script handed to her by the biotech giant Monsanto.
Right. Whenever people think "Hillary Clinton", they continue with "the Bride of Frankenfood".
On GMOs
Surprisingly, TruthWiki hates on Whole Foods Market, but only because they think Whole Foods is in cahoots with Monsanto to hide nasty things like GMOs (which they think is as toxic as the chemicalz and isn't natural) and whatever imaginary toxin in mind today. They criticize Whole Foods for being hypocritical about artificial products by disguising "toxins" in their food.[42] Because Whole Foods opposes GMO labeling and because in an interview the CEO "talks like a Monanto operative" and "praises the compromise just as Monsanto operatives do"[43], they conclude that they blatantly support Monsanto, the "worlds[sic] most evil corporation".
Despite the store’s ambiance and overall fresh market look, Whole Foods supports hiding all genetically modified foods from the public’s eyes, by concealing GMO’s in nearly every product they sell that is not labeled certified organic. The “fresh” food bar has pre-prepped salads that have no labels for ingredients whatsoever, and most of the salad mixes contain dense amounts of GM soy and GM canola oils, fueling sickness and cancer in the unknowing and unsuspecting health conscious shoppers who believe that everything they sell is in the best interest of the consumer, when it’s clearly not that way at all. By selling cheap, toxic raw materials as part of their major profit center, the company has morphed over time to increase their use of processing plants, and even created their own “365” product line.
