Zaid Hamid

Zaid Hamid is a Pakistani security consultant and political commentator. His ideas include the partitioning of Pakistan, opposing the concept of Greater Israel, the concept of a Pakistani Empire according to a hadith, and he is of the opinion that the 2008 attacks in Mumbai were part of an Indian - or "Hindu Zionist"[1], whatever one of those is - plot to start a war with Pakistan, something that sounds vaguely familiar.

Hamid is criticized by his oppenents as a conspiracy theorist, and has even been called the Pakistani Glenn Beck.[2] He hosts a television series named Brass Tacks that discusses political issues. In June 2015, Hamid was arrested in Saudi Arabia after making speeches against the Saudi government. He was visiting the Kingdom on a private tour with family when he was arrested.
