The iPad Pro was announced on September 9th alongside the iPhone 6s/6s Plus, and launched on November 11 of the same year. Featuring a 12.9-inch, 264 ppi display and a self-balancing four-speaker array, the Pro is the largest iOS device yet, targeted towards media professionals looking to replace traditional laptops.

iPad Pro has two feature accessories, the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard. The Pencil is a stylus that enables drawing directly to the screen with high-precision pressure sensitivity. The Smart Keyboard is a full-sized keyboard that connects to the iPad via the Smart Connector. It has the same dome switches used in the 2015 Macbook.

Identifying this iPad is fairly simple, as it is the only 12.9-inch iOS device on the market. Other identifying features include the Smart connector on the long edge, Lightning Connector on the bottom, and the model number: A1584, visible on the back. It ships in the same finishes as other iPads: Silver, Gold, and Space Gray.
