Identification and Background

Released in September 1996, the Game Boy Pocket is the second device in Nintendo's Game Boy line. The Pocket is considerably smaller than the original Game Boy, and was designed to be more portable and user-friendly. Although the display remains monochrome (black and white), the Pocket comes in a variety of colors.
