Firearm Technology
Eruptum; Black Powder
Broadbarrel has a no shortage of charcoal and sulphur, so it’s used in the creation of black powder, which is scientifically called eruptum, but barely ever called that casually. It’s different from Earthen black powder in the fact that it doesn’t use saltpeter as a propellant, but instead sulphuric acid, as the surplus of sulphur mixes with Broadbarrel’s limited water supply to create a relatively common oxidizer.
Trixie Automatics
Trixie Automatics is a system developed by Trixie Adams in order to make automatics viable. If functions by using a series of pins and cogs similar to a music box that can pull various cables that run around the firearm to cock the gun and load in the bullet from the magazine. It varies from firearm to firearm, but always consists of a main module that holds the cogs and pins, as well as contains the mainspring that sets the automatics system in motion.
Magnetic Propulsion
Not many firearms use magnetic propulsion, but those that do utilize a system where coils of non-magnetic pipe filled with refined magnetite run around the barrel. The trigger, instead of creating a spark, releases a hatch, allowing the bullet to be propelled. The few guns that use this are usually made of non magnetic material such as bronze.

Implosives
Various Krustaalc implosives can be found in broadbarrel, though instead of pulling out a pin, you push in a charge (that often can be locked and unlocked with a padlock), this charge fuses with the central Krystaalc to create the endothermic reaction.
Conditioners
Broadbarrel is hot, so certain conditioners have been made that utilize Krystaalc fusion to cool air inside the conditioner’s chamber. Also inside that chamber is a fan, which is spun via a mainspring being tuned. That fan forces the cool air out to cool anybody that wishes to be cooled/anything that needs cooling.
Heatsinks
While most to all equipment in Broadbarrel doesn’t use electricity, Broadbarrel’s heat can cause mechanical parts to become easy to warp, making gears brake down quicker. Heatsinks consist of one or multiple Krystaalc fusion module(s) that cool coils that run along mechanical parts, put out of the way enough to not get stuck in things such as gears.
