Most, but not all moldorms have oddly bulging eyes. Source

As large and frantically-writhing worms, moldorms can are most often found underground in caves or ruins, but are also known to inhabit habitats as diverse as deserts and swamps. While above ground, moldorms writhe in rapid, frantic, and unpredictable patterns. While below ground, they usually wait in ambush to leap out of the ground to bite into unsuspecting prey. They usually tackle and bite into whatever creatures they can find with the intention of devouring them, disregarding discrepancies in size or strength.

These creatures are sometimes referred to as "mini-moldorms" to distinguish them from the larger, thicker-shelled great moldorms.

Some moldorms have a more subtle appearance. Source
