Death's Garrote (5e Spell)

You infuse your garrote with the power of death. The infused garrote's damage changes to 1d6 necrotic. When you attack with the infused garrote, you can use your spellcasting ability modifier, instead of your Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls. When a creature attempts to escape a grapple made with the infused garrote, you can use your spell attack modifier in place of your Strength (Athletics) modifier for the check to maintain the grapple.
