ZOMG!/Characters
Blaze
Daughter of the pirate queen Marina, generally considered the mascot character for the game.
Tropes exhibited by this character include:
- Improbable Weapon User: Mystically-empowered rings, just like everyone else in zOMG!
- Knife Nut: Totes a machete. Dialogue from the Barton Guards suggests she does that even when she's not in the jungle, and uses it to harass them.
- She Fu
- Weaksauce Weakness: The reason she's not a pirate? She gets seasick.
Leon
Captain of the Barton Regulars. Also runs the Guild Registry.
Tropes exhibited by this character include:
- City Guard
- Extreme Omnivore: He'd have to be, to eat his mom's cooking.
- Made of Iron: Supposedly, he's "really tough" even by Gaian standards. Again, his mom's cooking.
- The Stoic
- Word of God: Not. Rina's. Brother.
Rina
Owner of Barton Flowershoppe, now revamped into the Buttercup Café.
Tropes exhibited by this character include:
- Annoying Younger Sibling: Even though her relationship to Leon never actually existed as such.
- Cheerful Child
- Genki Girl
- Girlish Pigtails: As a child.
- Halloween Cosplay: As Italy in 2010, and as an anthropomorphic flower prior to that.
- Innocent Flower Girl: Parodied, then averted hard. She's a Genki Girl, a Yaoi Fangirl, a bully, and a Lethal Chef. And she supported SIN in Halloween 2009.
- Item Crafting: Makes bouquets from flowers you picked in Gaia Towns.
- Les Yay: She asked Nicolae if he was selling Alruna's Rose during the zOMG intro comic, specifically mentioning wanting "a sexy succubus", and then supported Sentinel's Infernal Nation during Halloween 2009. I wonder why.
- Lethal Chef: The "special cupcakes" she sells have flowers in them and make people sick, and she's also made such things as a "chocolate-rhubarb-sausage pie".
- She's All Grown Up: She used to just be a cute and energetic little girl. This is her now. Quite a ladylike expression, too.
- Shop Keeper
- Word of God: Not. Leon's. Sister.
- Yaoi Fangirl
Captain Cresento
Owner of Gaia's only airship. Debuted on April Fools' Day of '09 in zOMG!, but has since barged into the main storyline.
Tropes exhibited by this character include:
- April Fools' Day: Captain Cresento appeared on April Fools' Day 09 in zOMG!, where he offered to take your character to a new area. The joke was that zOMG! would 'crash' just before the new area loaded.
- Cool Airship: He owns one.
- Dark-Skinned Blond: Well...silver.
- Eyes of Gold
- Jerkass: He's got an ego the size of Manhattan Island, easily. When he crashed his airship into the Overseer's makeshift airtubship, one of his remarks was, "I hope you have insurance, Overseer. I think your garbage pile scratched my airship."
- Nice Hat: BOY IS IT EVER
- It then paved the way to an item contest, challenging site members to make their own nice hats.
- Our Elves Are Better: Blink and you miss it: when informed that Cresento and Nicolae have been assigned to the same task as he, Zhivago refers to them as a human and an elf. Nicolae's pretty clearly human, so that makes Cresento the elf...
- Smug Snake: ... And boy is he better.
- Spell My Name with an "S": The page says 'Crescento', but the doll says 'Cresento'. Which is it?
- According to Lanzer, "Cresento". Not that people will ever stop being confused.
- Spock Speak: Cresento speaks this way...well, according to his forum posts in the zOMG! forum.
- White-Haired Pretty Boy
Frank
A mysterious yet friendly nerd who initially provided your first rings.
Tropes exhibited by this character include:
- The Dragon: Not outright stated, but heavily implied.
- For Science!
- Genre Savvy: Surrenders and starts telling your characters everything he's learned about Ghi and the Animated... to keep you distracted while he pages for backup. Then while the backup has you distracted, he teleports away.
- Hollywood Nerd
- Killer Rabbit
- Mad Scientist: He is Labtech 123.
- Meganekko: A male example, at first. He show his true nature later on...
- Obfuscating Stupidity
- Retcon: The opening sequence with him in the train was removed, along with most of the tutorials. This was a bad move.
Olivia
Leon's mother.
Tropes exhibited by this character include:
- Lethal Chef: Let's just say "don't eat the cookies" and leave it at that. The fact that Leon eats her cooking is a testament to his invulnerability.
- Never Mess with Granny: She eats and enjoys her own cooking.
