- Time Travel
Captain Ash

- Great White Hunter
- Nice Hat: In Time Splitters 2.
- Quintessential British Gentleman
- Retired Badass: Served in the Second Boer War in his teens and served in the Royal Air Force before becoming the old adventurer he is currently.
Harry Tipper
- Badass Mustache: From the years that passed by in his timeline, he never shaves off that moustache of his. Even when he has to wear a Henchwoman's uniform in Future Perfect.
- Cool Shades: Always seen sporting a pair of these in every incarnation of him in the series.
- Cowboy Cop: During his time as a detective in 1970.
- Disguised in Drag: In The Russian Connection in Future Perfect, he runs off to find some disguises for Cortez and him to wear in order to infiltrate Khallos' base. Unfortunately for him, he's forced to wear a Henchwoman's uniform as none of the Henchmen's uniforms fit him. This version of Tipper is known in Character Selection as "Swinging Tipper."

Characters introduced in Timesplitters 2
Sergeant Cortez
- A Space Marine Is You
- Badass
- Bald of Awesome
- Catch Phrase: "It's time to split!" And to a lesser extent, "Dammit!"
- Cyborg: Seems to be one by the time Future Perfect rolls around, as his strap-on goggles he wore in Time Splitters 2 changed into strapless goggle lenses in place of his eyes that act as cameras for Anya to see through.
- Help Your Self in the Future
- One-Man Army: At times where a person he meets in a random time period decides to run off and/or go do something else.
- Skyward Scream: After accidentally telling Crow what he did before he did it, giving him the idea to do it in the first place. It's so loud it travels back in time.
Corporal Hart
- Action Girl
- Back From the Dead: She reappears as the second player's character in Co-op in 2401 Space Station, even though she got splayed by a Reaper Splitter earlier.
- Bare Your Midriff
- Cyborg
- Killed Off for Real: Splayed by a Reaper Splitter on the space station she and Cortez were sent to. Doesn't explain the fact she came Back From the Dead to help Cortez escape in Co-op.
Monkey
- Everything's Better with Monkeys
- Maniac Monkeys
- Ninja Zombie Robot: These three variants are introduced in Future Perfect.
Khallos
- Affably Evil
- Big Bad Duumvirate: For Future Perfect, with Crow.
- Bond Villain Stupidity
- Embarrassing First Name/Meaningful Name/Punny Name: Archibald. It doesn't help he's balding though. His last name, however, is a pun on the word "callous," which might suit part of his nature.
- Eyepatch of Power: Invoked. One of the reasons he put on the eyepatch is to make himself look cool, but it doesn't seem to be working.
- Not Quite Dead: He was thought to be killed near the end of The Khallos Express (set in 1969) in Future Perfect after having his jetpack shot and damaged, but Time Splitters 2's Atom Smasher (set in 1972) reveals he's alive and well and managed to kidnap Harry Tipper and attempt to kill him.
Jo-Beth Casey
- Action Girl
- Bare Your Midriff: In Future Perfect.
- Damsel in Distress: Poor Jo-Beth gets captured a few times throughout the Mansion of Madness and What Lies Below levels in Future Perfect.
- Evil Knockoff: Becomes the template for the "Jo-Barf Creepy" changelings that appear several times in Future Perfect.
- Meganekko: In Time Splitters 2.
- Mini-Dress of Power
- Sawed-Off Shotgun: Her Weapon of Choice.
Jungle Queen
- Action Girl: When playing in Coop as the second player's character.
- Bare Your Midriff
- Cleavage Window: In Future Perfect.
- Fur Bikini: In Time Splitters 2.
- Hot Amazon
- Stripperiffic: Though she slightly covers up more in Future Perfect.
Viola
- Action Girl
- Sensual Spandex: Her "traveling troubadour" outfit shows signs of this.
- Sexy Jester
- Weapons Of Choice: Alternates between a Sawed-Off Shotgun and a Luger.
Mr. Underwood
- Badass Mustache: Has a "friendly muttonchop" variant.
- Nice Hat
- Quintessential British Gentleman
- Shout-Out: To To Kill a Mockingbird, although the ethnicities are quite different (The Mr. Underwood in Time Splitters 2 is British).
- Weapons Of Choice: Same as Viola.
Jake Fenton
- Cowboy Cop: Doesn't seem to have any problem gunning down people with silenced Lugers, Tommy Guns, sawed-off shotguns, and a vintage rifle.
- Megane
- Nice Hat
- Revenge: Against "Mister" Big Tony.[1] His reason is that everyone in Chicago is being bribed to turn a blind eye against Big Tony's gang, with the exception of Fenton himself. He managed to get his opportunity due to Lady Jane[2] hiring him in her own private investigation agency.
- Weapons of Choice: He starts off with his silenced Luger and vintage rifle.
Ghost
- Bilingual Bonus: In his Future Perfect gesture, he says "Abunai watashi wa Ninja!", which roughly translates to "Watch out! I'm a ninja!"
- Clear My Name: Part of his mission to defeat the criminal hacking group led by Sadako is to clear his name by sending proof that Sadako's gang are the bad guys and not him.
- Mukokuseki: Depends on who you ask. He speaks Japanese and appears slightly Japanese, but most of his features (specifically, his pale blond hair and facial structure) indicate that he's part European, too.
- Ninja: See above. Or is he?
Elijah Jones
- Badass Longcoat
- Bounty Hunter: Became this at age 16 after his parents were killed by cattle rustlers.
- Identical Descendants: To Peekaboo Jones, who is his great-great-grandson, and Mordecai Jones.
- Nice Hat

- Weapons of Choice: Aside from his revolver, he also carries a Vintage Rifle.
Kitten Celeste
- Absolute Cleavage
- Action Girl: Same rules apply to her in Co-op.

- Weapon of Choice: See above.
Gregor Lenko
- Cold Sniper
- Red Baron: His nickname is "The Russian Bear".
- Weapon of Choice: See above.

- Sexy Backless Outfit
- Stock Foreign Name: Her surname indicates Chinese ancestry.
R-110
- Cloudcuckoolander: After being infected with a virus.
- Heel Face Turn: A (somewhat) forced variation: At first, R-110 was just a normal evil robot who killed two resistance members, only for Cortez to jump on it by surprise and reprogram it. Around a few minutes into Something to Crow About, it gets infected with a virus and the turn becomes cemented.
- Leet Speak: After Cortez picks up an Electro-Tool.
- Robotic Psychopath: Post-virus.
Mordecai Jones
- Anyone Can Die: If he's not protected during the Machine Wars level, then it's this trope taking effect.
- Bald of Awesome
- Battle Cry: "FOR THE HUMANS!" And it can only be heard if he is kept alive up until this moment.
- Cyborg: Like the rest of his resistance members.
- Identical Descendant: Of both Elijah Jones and Peekaboo Jones.
- La Résistance: The leader of this during the Machine Wars.
- Token Minority: It kinda runs in the family.
