The Princess and the Frog/Characters
Tiana
- All Work vs. All Play: All Work to Naveen's All Play.
- Baleful Polymorph: She really doesn't like the idea of being a frog. At all.
- Betty and Veronica: The Veronica to Charlotte's Betty for Naveen's Archie.
- Black Best Friend: Despite the fact that Tiana is the protagonist, Charlotte is so spoiled that she gets all the fairy tale dresses she wants and when her seamstress shows up she brings her black little girl to play with Charlotte.

- Disappeared Dad: He died fighting in World War I.
- Disney Princess
- Earn Your Happy Ending: In the end, she gets her restaurant.
- Four-Temperament Ensemble: The Choleric.
- Girlish Pigtails: As a child.
- Impossibly Cool Clothes
- Lonely at the Top: Mama Odie alluded to this, and Dr. Facilier's temptation outright showed that if she continued to go down her "All Work" mantra, she'd have no one to share her success with.
- Mistaken Identity: She's mistaken for a 'princess' because of the dress Charlotte lent her.
- Pimped-Out Dress
- Plucky Girl
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue to Charlotte and Naveen's red.
- Self-Made Woman
- Slap Slap Kiss: With Naveen.

- True-Blue Femininity: Look at her dress in the picture on the right.
- Well, Excuse Me, Princess!: To Naveen.
- You Go, Girl!
Prince Naveen
- Adorkable: Oh, yes. For his Casanova front, Naveen's lack of experience in the real world and his growing devotion to Tiana are a CMOH of their own.
- All Work vs. All Play: All Play to Tiana's All Work.
- Amber Eyes
- Ambiguously Brown: Let's keep it short and say that "ambiguous" is the right word.
- Angel Face, Demon Face
- Baleful Polymorph: Though he has less of a problem with it than Tiana does.
- Betty and Veronica: The Archie for Charlotte's Betty and Tiana's Veronica.
- Brilliant but Lazy
- Cannot Spit It Out

Naveen: He was very charismatic!
- Impoverished Patrician
- It Was with You All Along
- I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Near the end.
- Ladykiller in Love
- Lantern Jaw of Justice
- Large Ham
- Manic Pixie Dream Boy
- Mock Millionaire: His parents actually cut him off because of his spending habits.
- Modest Royalty
- Mr. Fanservice
- Really Gets Around: As much as it can be implied in a G-rated Disney Princess movie.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The red to Tiana's blue. (One of two)
- Reformed Rakes
- Rich Idiot With No Day Job
- Shrinking Violet: When he falls for Tiana.
- Smarter Than You Look
- Talented Princess, Regular Guy: Gender Flipped
- Well, Excuse Me, Princess!

Charlotte "Lottie" La Bouff
- Beauty Mark
- Betty and Veronica: The Betty to Tiana's Veronica for Naveen's Archie.
- Blue Eyes

- Gainaxing
- Genki Girl
- Hair of Gold
- Hidden Depths
- Impossibly Tacky Clothes
- Inelegant Blubbering
- I Want My Beloved to Be Happy
- Jail Bait Wait: Naveen's brother, although she could have been joking.
- Large Ham
- Lovable Alpha Bitch: Lottie may be richer than stink and more spoiled than you can imagine, but she is the nicest, sweetest, and most supportive friend Tiana could ask for.
- Missing Mom
- Ms. Fanservice
- Pimped-Out Dress
- Princess Phase: Charlotte La Boef is firmly in this stage when we see her and Tiana as young girls in the opening—her room filled to the brim with pink frilly dresses, tiaras, and fairytale accessories while she moons over a fairytale read by Tiana's mother, yet flash forward fifteen or so years...and nothing's changed.
- Princesses Prefer Pink
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The red to Tiana's blue. (One of two)
- Rich Bitch: Subversion.

- She's All Grown Up
- Spoiled Sweet: She's the freaking trope picture.

- Tomboy and Girly Girl: Girly Girl to Tiana's Tomboy.
- Your Makeup Is Running
Doctor Facilier
- Affably Evil: Naveen says he's 'very charasmatic' at the beginning.
- Big Bad: He's the main villain and his Evil Plan that drives the plot.
- Bare Your Midriff
- The Barnum
- Dragged Off to Hell: When he can't pay his debt, his "friends on the other side" drag him there.
- Mr. Fanservice: Evil Is Sexy.
- Evil Counterpart: To Mama Odie. He dressed in black (instead of white), he's insightful but uses it to manipulate instead of teach and offers to 'help' when he's only helping himself.
- Evil Laugh: During his villain song.
- Evil Is Stylish
- Evil Sorcerer: Voodoo sorcerer.
- Evil Sounds Deep: He's voiced by Keith David.
- Evil Plan: The visible one is using Lawrence as a pawn to marry Charlotte and get her father's money and 'own this town'. The one beneath that is to use the money/power to provide his 'friends' with the souls of others so they won't take his.
- Fetish Fuel Station Attendant
- Hidden Depths: All his 'evil' is actually motivated by a hatred toward the rich and especially toward those born rich and do nothing, like Naveen.
- Inexplicably Awesome: How he first contacted his 'friends' or got that moving shadow is unknown.
- Ironic Death: After his amulet (on loan from his "friends") is shattered, he asks for more time to pay off his debt, after which they drag him off to their world. He got what he wanted, but he lost what he had.
- Jackass Genie: He'll make an offer that sounds like what his customers want when its the farthest thing from it. He's skilled at saying literally what he'll do but make it sound like slang and metaphor.
- Kick the Dog: There was a guy in the intro song that wanted a cure for his male-pattern baldness. Faciler's cure made him grow hair everywhere, and likely knew this would happen. It has nothing to do with his Evil Plan; just a quick buck.
- Large Ham: This guy knows his showmanship. Naveen fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Even in private moments he likes talking dramatically and gesturing with his cane.
- Lean and Mean
- Living Shadow: His can push his chair in and grab things for him.
- Manipulative Bastard
- Meaningful Name: 'Faciler' as in 'to facilitate' or 'assist'.
- Morally-Ambiguous Doctorate: Its unknown what he's a 'doctor' of.
- My Card: "Tarot, potions, charms: Dreams made real." It has a skull on it.
- Names to Run Away From Really Fast: "The Shadow Man" is what the residents of New Orleans refer to him as.
- Nice Hat
- Noodle People
- Obviously Evil: His card has a skull on it. Its kind of baffling that Naveen trusted this guy. But, to quote: "He was very charismatic!"
- Only Known by Their Nickname: The Bayou at least.
- Properly Paranoid: He doesn't like relying on his 'friends' because he knows they only want his soul.
- Purple Eyes
- Scary Black Man
- Smug Snake
- Villainous Breakdown: Then again, if you were about to be killed by voodoo monsters, you would be freaking out, too.

King and Queen of Maldonia

Naveen's brother
- Jail Bait Wait: An exasperated Charlotte makes a joke about this. (Well...hopefully it's a joke.)
