The Harmon Verse
The Harmon Verse is a series of stories that are connected to the television series Glee, involving the character of Jack Harmon and those associated with him. The universe was created by SoullessWarlock on FanFiction.Net in the summer of 2010 and has grown to include numerous original characters from different fanfics and writers on the site.
The community can be found at this link: The HarmonVerse
The Contributors:
- Adorkable: Almost all of the OCs in the Harmon Verse have their moments.
- Examples:
- Jack and his love of Barry Manilow and all around closet geekiness
- Mitchell in general
- Michelle and her love of Ezio Auditore da Firenze
- Dylan and his love of Mickie James
- Examples:
- Breaking the Fourth Wall
- Depending on the Writer: In the hands of Soulless Warlock and Gone Rampant, the Harmon Verse takes on a more surreal and absurd turn while Cola-Flavoured-Sherbert and Zero Ben's interpretation of it are more realistic...Well, as realistic as a universe centered around Glee can be. The character portrayals are pretty consistent, however.
- Dysfunctional Family: Despite their rather heartwarming moments, the Harmon family is this in spades. Michelle seems to be a part of one as well.
- Love Dodecahedron
- Meet Cute: Although they didn't meet that way, Mitchell and Michelle have tendency to collide, trip and fall in each other's prescene.
- Odd Friendship: Jack and just about anyone he is friends with the exception of Rachel. He is selfish, rude, and mildly demented, but he always comes through in the end.
- Refuge in Audacity
- True Companions: The entire Glee club, whether they be canon or fanon, exemplify this trope
Main Characters
Jack Harmon (Created by Soulless Warlock)
The eponymous character in the universe and the protagonist of the See It My Way series, which covers the first three seasons of the show. He can best be described as Jesse St. James on steroids and wants nothing more than to become a star of stage and screen. He is talented, but arrogant as hell and is not afraid to tell the members of New Directions what he is thinking at all times.
- The Ace: Taken to riduclous extremes
- Badass Normal
- Comedic Sociopath
- Crazy Prepared: He calls himself the master of the elaborate setup for a reason.
- Deadpan Snarker
- Face Heel Turn and Heel Face Turn: Does this little two-step at least once in a story.
- Handsome Devil
- Hollywood Dateless: Deconstructed in various stories
- Missing Mom: A major arc in Season Two
- Nay Theist
- Original Character
- Refuge in Audacity: At first, most of the things that came out of Jack's mouth were this. Still happens once in a while but has been toned down...for now.
- Screw the Rules, I Have Money: Basically the street where he lives
- Screw the Rules, I Have Connections
- Sharp-Dressed Man: He wears a suit at almost all the time
- Villain Protagonist: Could be considered this on some level
- Vitriolic Best Buds
- What the Hell, Hero?: Frequently guilty of these sorts of actions
Mitchell Mason (Created by Zero Ben)
- Adorkable: While every one of the OCs have these moments, Mitchell deserves a special mention just for being himself.
- Alliterative Name: His full name is Mitchell Marcus Mason
- Attention Deficit Ooh Shiny: He may not suffer from ADD or ADHD, but this guy gets distracted at the worst possible times.
- Beware the Nice Ones: The Sectionals chapter of A Different Point of View, Part One is a great example of this.
- Dogged Nice Guy
- Original Character
Dylan Armstrong (Created by Cola Flavoured Sherbet)
- Berserk Button
- Mr. Fanservice: In-universe example
- Face Heel Turn: Takes place in Asian F

- Butt Monkey: Has a tendancy to get beaten up by a lot of people
- Deadpan Snarker: Lives and breaths this trope
- Jerkass: Again, lives and breaths the trope.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Is one of these, at heart, but frequently does not-so-good things to other people.
- Made of Iron: Ties in with Butt Monkey: He just keeps getting back up after people attack him.
- Original Character
- Relationship Upgrade: With Rachel in Recap's Season 2.
