Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann/Awesome Music

• Libera Me From Hell definitely qualifies in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, because it's only played during these.
  • Hell, any song with those lyrics (the rapping, not the Ominous Latin Chanting). From The Dai-Gurren Dan Theme to Kamina's Theme (please ignore the video, just listen to the song, if you know what's best for your sanity)
  • Then what about Libera Me cut together with Rap Is A Man's Soul?
  • A little exotism: Libera Me mixed together with various rap songs including Eminem and Xzibit. It's good they didn't attack the Anti-Spiral to this song because the sucker would've instantly exploded from the sheer awesomeness. And it's just crowned by Simon yelling in his catchphrase at 3:00...
  • It may already be in the Homestuck section for Crowning Music, but it needs to be here as well: A mashup of Libera Me from Hell and Upward Movement (Dave Owns). Raw fighting spirit, tempered with coolguy determination, compressed into one awesome song.
    • On a related note, from Toby Fox of Homestuck's music team comes another mashup, Libera Me From Sburb.
  • Libera Me From Slam. The fad inspired by Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden of mixing the Space Jam theme with everything has produced some awesome music, but this one works a lot better than you'd expect a song that already had lyrics would when given a slamjam mix.
• Don't forget the music that plays when Simon and Kamina first break through to the surface.
  • I personally prefer the longer version: Ten wo Tsuke is just plain HEROIC.
  • It was even more epic during the Giga Drill scene in episode 8. Hotblooded speak, epic attacks AND awesome music.
    • And it was EVEN MORE EPIC during Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann's formation in the movie.
• Break Through The Dream, Kamina and Simon's song captures the Super Robot Spirit so well, it brought a tear to this tropers eye.
• The fanfare they use for the brief recaps that start the episodes is so epic that this troper has it as his ringtone. People have commented on just how awesome it sounds even when completely out of context. Extended version here.
• The first ending "UNDERGROUND", may qualify. The full version, definitely qualifies.
• The second ending Minna no Peace.
• Nikopol, the anthem of Viral.
• Happily Ever After, the Theme Music Power-Up for one of the greatest Moments of Awesome in the entire series ever.
  • It also plays when Team Dai-Gurren storms the Dekabutsu.
• Sorairo Days ^{[dead link]} , the Crowning Theme Song of Awesome.
  • Add a bit of sound tweaking, and someone found a way to make it even more epic. Just watch
  • The only way to make that song more Hot-Blooded? Let Masaaki Endoh sing it. Really now, is there anything JAM Project can't make more awesome?
  • And then there's this awesome English Fandub. For best results, synch it with the actual openings, then mute the original. It's a whole different experience when you can understand the lyrics.
  • THIS version. There are NO WORDS that describe it's awesomeness.
  • Shoko Nakagawa and T.M.Revolution perform a duet. Awesomeness ensues.
• To Hell With Gattai is that one song that sends one giant middle finger to fate, destiny, and other preordained shit while yelling: "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?"
• Get Fired Up, All Of You! is made of epic and so very manly it was used for Lord Genome's origin story.
  • It also holds a special meaning to many Fraxy players.
• Is It Okay To Just Get Fired Up?, the villain's victory song usually, music played when the enemy's really starting to get a solid advantage and you wonder the outcome. Not like you should, but. Y'know.
• Spinning, Spinning, Spinning, Spiii!? was good, but normal background music until Lagann-hen, at which point it becomes the theme for creating Chouginga Gurren Lagann, Simon AND his mech obliterating everything and crying manly tears of blood, and the Dai-Gurren-dan going on an utter rampage in the name of vengeance and lost brothers.
• Tsuzuku Sekai, the ending theme of the first movie.
• From the second movie, we have Sorairo Days -Tengen Toppa EDITION-, played during the final battle, and the ending-theme, Namida no Tane, Egao no Hana.
  • It should be noted that there are two versions of Sorairo Days appended with Tengen Toppa EDITION. If it also has Lagann EDIT then it's from the movie, the other one splices the tune of Tsuzuku Sekai, Happily Ever After and a third song into it for an interesting but not quite as dramatic form of awesome. Can be heard here.
• Also from the second movie: My XXX is the Best in the Universe In the same vein as the famous Row Row Fight the Power, but with brand new lyrics and a beat that will pierce the heavens.
• For those into futuristic style, The Blue Monday E"R"ectrical Parade, played during some Mugann battles.
• I'm gonna have to argue that the entire soundtrack is made of awesome. It's really a Crowning Soundtrack of Awesome.
• It's different from most examples here, but Nia's Theme is pretty much Crowning Moment of Heartwarming in music form... And a Tear Jerker if you know what happens to her.
