- If you like an angst/drama Starfire/Robin(Dick Grayson) story with minor BB/Raven couple, this author is the one you should check out. This author puts a lot of detail and emotion into her fanfics. She has two series of stories that she has put much detail into. Her first series is called e'ara universe series, which focuses on Starfire and Robin's relationship and marriage. She puts much detail into developing the Tamaranian society and culture. Her second series is called Touch series, which is mostly about how Starfire and Dick try to work through the hardships of their relationship. One of these stories takes place in Gotham City where Starfire gets to meet the bat family. Kryalla also incorporates some traits from the canon comics as well. I highly recommend checking out her stories.

- A fanfic of so epic proportions it has developed into its own fanon universe, with multiple authors and specific canon. Originally written by Legend Maker, starting with the story Black and White. NOT White and Black. Don't ask. They have a timeline on the website for those needing help with this, which is usually anyone reading it for the first time. It centers around the addition of a few Original Characters, and while it does occasionally follow a few of the cliches for this plotline, it has some truly excellent writing, and gets better as time goes on. Rather heavy, philosphical reading at times, although it does have some excellent humour.

- A truly excellent Robin/Raven writer. A staple for anyone who ships the birds.
- Recommended by Debatra
- If you like Beast Boy/Raven, this is the place to go. If you don't, avoid her. There are 51 fics in her collection, most of which are irrelevant to each other, so you're bound to find something you like. There's normally some Robin/Starfire and/or (usually and) Cyborg/Bumblebeee in her stories as well, but she manages to avoid making any of her couples take a true back seat more often than not. She even brings Kid Flash/Jinx and a few other miscellaneous couples into the mix occasionally. Not all of her fics are focussed on romance (only most of them); there's plenty of fluff to go around. A few of her fics (admittedly what This Troper thinks are some of the lower-quality ones) don't have any romance or fluff to them. This Troper won't pretend to have read all 51 of beautifulpurpleflame's (usually very long) stories, but she's a consistantly good writer even in her early work.

- Whether you want silly parodies, fluffy romance, or... not so fluffy romance, he's the guy you want to go to. Also, anything and everything on his "Favorite Stories" is guaranteed gold.
- Recommended by Gracie Geek
- I always take the opportunity to recommend her fanfiction, so I thought I'd just flat-out recommend the author herself. Her fanfiction is a goldmine if you love Robin-vs-Slade fanfiction (and want to find quality Apprentice fanfiction that isn't Sladin). She's written several Apprentice fanfictions - including a grand total of three AU fanfics (the later two, especially - "Northern Star" and "In Too Deep" - are well worth a read) - and an amazing fanfic which is an expansion of the episode Haunted, as well as several comedy oneshots. Her Slade incorporates much from Deathstroke's comic incarnations, fleshing him out as a character whilst keeping him true to the animated Slade.
General Fics
Stories focused on the family and the friendly relationships of the cast. Plot-focused stories or light day-in-the-life stories. Pretty much anything that isn't focused on romance.
Opening the Closet Door a Crack by still too old for this
- Recommended by ijp 92
- Pairings: Raven/Beastboy and Starfire/Robin
- Synopsis: Requested to find a missing professor of anthropology, the Titans begin a descent into the darkness where dwell madness and evil. Mystery and horror await our intrepid heroes. As for survival, that remains to be seen.
- Comments: Its the Teen Titans versus Chuthlu. Don't need to know Lovecraft to enjoy. The narration is really good.
- I agree with the previous Troper. But, having read almost all of the works mentioned in this story, I was absolutely terrified and knew, to a certain extent, what would happen in the story. I had to stop several times at the very BEGINNING because I knew what it would eventually lead to.
The Nighthawk Chronicles By Cyclone
- Recommended by HG131
- Synopsis A Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Teen Titans crossover that sadly is a dead fic as far as I can tell. On the bright side, there's 60+ chapters. Oh, and what is the crossover? Xander gets sucked into the Titansverse, which happens to also deage him to 16 and give him back his eye. It also combines the DCAU with Teen Titans and actually addresses the continuity problems that causes.
- Comments: Funny, actiony and just awesome. Also continues the running gag of Xander having bad luck with who he falls in love in (getting in a Jinx/Raven/Starfire/Talia (yes, Ra's daughter) love pentagon). Also features Xander killing alot of people.
Basic Skill by Reddo Creep
- Recommended by Lucyinthe Sky 111
- Synopsis: An apprentice fic, and saying else about the plot would be spoiling. Just know that Slade's awesome, the Titans still have no idea what's going on, and Robin won't kill anyone.
- It might not sound like much, but it's all about the delivery. Robin's inner battles are really well done and it's written beautifully. Plus the plot is full of twists, dark humor and great character moments. There's also no slash, just a really messed up father-son type relationship.
Deadpool and the Teen Titans by Blues32
- Recommended by Noxshade
- Synopsis: Exactly What It Says on the Tin. Slade hires Deadpool to go assassinate the Titans; Terra is part of the group, and there is an Original Character who is Raven's boyfriend(you can skip the one scene they have together and assign his lines to someone else if you're really that upset over him.)
- Comments: Utterly hilarious. The author captures the chaotic energy of Deadpool perfectly, and although Wade does hog the spotlight a bit, it has such gems as Deadpool asking Slade how many buttons he has that control the huge screens in his lair and Deadpool trying to hook up with Starfire (and failing in the most spectacular way possible). Writing and characterization are spot-on.
The Titans and the Lost Boy by Lathis
- Recommended by Comartemis
- Synopsis: When Ryouga crosses paths with the Teen Titans and agents of H.I.V.E. in the Chinese wilderness, a chain of events is set in motion that will thrust Ryouga into the spotlight of his own adventures. When martial arts mayhem meets super hero hijinks, chaos ensues.
- Comments: An utterly subpar summary for an utterly epic series. Ryouga and the Titans take center stage for this story with Ranma and the crew not coming in until later on, but Lathis keeps Ryouga remarkably in-character with all his flaws and vices intact, something you don't often see in Ryouga-centric fics. The plot initially focuses on Ryouga's initial meeting with the Titans before launching into the main storyline as Brother Blood goes on a recruiting drive in Nerima.
Dark Titans, by Lathis
- Recommended by Comartemis
- Synopsis: The sequel series to The Titans and the Lost Boy, Dark Titans focuses on the aftermath of the battle with H.I.V.E. as the Nerima Wrecking Crew adjust to the circumstances they find themselves in.
- Comments: As awesome as its' predecessor, Dark Titans progresses in several distinct arcs, each one focusing on a separate group of characters. The Red X arc comes first, giving the Titans the inital spotlight, before the action moves to Nerima, where Ranma has to assemble a team of heroes on his own to deal with Big Trouble in Little Tokyo. Then Cologne and the Amazons match wits with Lex Luthor in This Ain't A Scene before Ryouga unlocks the secret to resurrecting Terra in Titan Rising. And through all of this, Lathis maintains the quirky Slayers-style combo of humor drama and action that makes his stories so fun to read. If you liked The Titans and the Lost Boy, you will like this sequel.
The Joker's Wild and its sequel Recovery by jarec
- And now, the third installment: Titanomachy!
- Recommended by Known Unknown

Jinx's Alphabet by The Lady of the Willows
- Recommended by J The Drafter
- Synopsis: The ramifications for Jinx on betraying her friends, using the letters of the alphabet. Remember how Jinx just casually blasted the people she spent a significant amount of her life with into unconsciousness, without showing any sign that she cared about them? This story explores how Jinx felt about what she'd done.
- Comments: For everyone who wishes that canon had given this issue the consideration it deserved.
Those Ravaging Nightmares by Kansi-a-lari
- Recommended by J The Drafter
- Synopsis: A oneshot showing how Starfire's captivity among the Gordanians and Psions shaped and influenced her character.
- Comments: Remember what a badass Starfire was in 'Go'? She's the main character here. The story is grim but ultimately hopeful. I wish we could have seen more of this characterization in canon.
The Black, the White, and the Red by Mary Grayson's Little Robin
- Recommended by Lale
- Synopsis:
- Comments: The Black, the White, and the Red—a "Red X is Jason Todd" fic well-written enough to make you believe it's canon. Finally off hiatus and being worked on.

Avatar and Adaptation by Cyberwraith 9.
- Recommended by Silver
- Synopsis: A series of plot arcs, each building on the others—the main common thread being a "what if" story of Robin acquiring super powers.
- Comments: A truly epic tale, thoroughly exploring every Teen Titans hero and villain Cyberwraith9 can get his hands on. It includes elements from DCAU on the sidelines and occasionally interacts with them. There is some Robin/Starfire shipping, but not as the focus of the fics. Both stories are completed, and it seems like a third one is in the works...
Christmas with the Graysons by Kryalla Orchid
- Recommended by Gwen Stacy Wannabe
- Synopsis: Future-fic set maybe 10 years or so after the series. Exactly What It Says on the Tin, though the rest of the team and Batman show up too.
- Comments: Actually the ending of a series by the author, but you don't have to read those to understand it (especially if you're up to par on knowledge of the Bat-verse, as Bats, Alfred, and Babs all make appearances). Quite a bit of Robin/Starfire but it's not a straight-up romance fic, more family fic. Take your insulin beforehand also.
Litany by Rabula Tasa
- Recommended by Known Unknown
- Synopsis: After being victim a series of pranks, Raven confronts Beast Boy, accidentally Mind Raping him in the process. Now they must both deal with the doubts and consequences of her Disproportionate Retribution.
- Comments: A well written fic with a few twists on a very common setting. Gets a little fluffy towards the end, but very effective at the beginning.
These Black Eyes by Space is a Waste (formerly Post)
- Recommended by Alter Alias
- Synopsis: In the author's own words Noir, an incredibly overpowered Gary Stu, joins the animated Teen Titans. During his tenure with the heroic youngsters, many grammatical errors are made, many gross atrocities of the first-person narrative are committed, and a bunch of bloody drama is spilt in the name of lifeless nerdiness.
- Comments: None the less it's an enjoyably silly ride with believable character development and excessive quantities of What Do You Mean Its Not Awesome.
Generic Exaggeration Amethyst Turtle
- Recommended by Salfishfin
- Synopsis: It's basically a Parody of the common Fanfics you'd see every day, and as you'd expect from the title It's full of exaggeration. Common tropes parodied so far:
- Mary Sue/Self-Insert Fic
- Draco in Leather Pants
- Massive Multiplayer Crossover
- Fan-Preferred Couple
- Babies Ever After (with the whole team Minus Cyborg)
- Death Fic
- And random others
- Comments: It's a bizarre and effective mix of hilarity, randomness, and accuracy.
Melody's Shadow by Lord Belgarion
- Recommended by Forumite X
- Synopsis: Follows both the Titans as they invstigate the mysterious Gemini Industries and a young cowboy, recently arrived in Jump City, who gets involved with Slade and his new OC Apprentice.
- Comments: A reboot of a previous story by the author (Titan's Song, since deleted from FFN.Net), MS is of high quality in both plot and writing. While mostly serious, it seems to be increasing in its funny moments. Well worth a look.
Impact by nosilencehere
- Recommended by Lua
- Synopsis: As a result of a robbery gone wrong and an overenthusiastic security guard, Robin ends up in a locked room with a Red X with a gunshot wound. Dialogue happens.
- Comments: Yes, that really is the entire plot. It's still a lovely exploration of the similarities and differences between Robin and Red X, which seems completely in character for both of them. The author's Red X-voice in particular is great- she manages to add some depth to the character, while retaining the snark and without diving headfirst into Wangst. The sequel, Saves the Day, is worth reading too- sadly the series seems abandoned.
- Recommended by Kitsu
- Synopsis: Loopholes, deception, disappearances. Puzzle pieces that need to be put together. A villain watches from the corner of his only eye the Boy Wonder. But Robin has another problem, too. It's an evergrowing fight with the Dark Knight. A father son story.
- Comments: I honestly don't know where to begin. If I started listing off everything that I loved about this fic... actually, it would probably be the fic itself. Because there was little, if anything, that I didn't adore. Everyone's in character, and the extended DCAU gets in on it in the form of the Justice League and everyone's favorite Gothamites and Metropolitans, along with certain comic book characters. It gets violent, but the writing is more than amazing enough to keep This Troper hooked. The only other thing she'll trust herself with saying about it is to READ IT. NOW.
- Seconded. Anything by Rena Redhead is well worth reading but "Custody" is her magnum opus and best work yet. All the character interactions are spot-on, Crowning Moments of Awesome abound, and Slade gets some of best and creepiest Hannibal Lectures in Titans fanfic ever. There's also some small Robin/Starfire for a mini romance arc, but it's mostly understated. Well worth the read.
Changes Saga by Phoenix Skyborne
- Link is to part one, parts two, three, and an AU ending to two.
- Recommended by Cryptic Mirror
- Synopsis: Everyone's favourite creepy paedophile Slade decides that the he really wants a child to raise as his heir. How is he going to go about it? Well, by changing Robin into a girl and raping her of course.
- Comments:Very well written, but the Reset Button is firmly avoided and it is not a happy fic. At best it is a Bittersweet Ending, bordering on a downer one. Midway through part two it moves firmly into a Bat Family Crossover fic and the rest of the Titans are phased out.
- This appears to have been deleted from fanfiction.net. If anybody has the new link, could they please post it.

- Pairings: Beast Boy and Cyborg friendship
- Synopsis: A huge series of drabbles about the friendship between Beast Boy and Cyborg.
- Comments: This series is incredible. There are a vast number of drabbles that range from humor to drama to just poignant. Everyone is in character and it's fun to read. If you have time, feel free to read, there are over fifty drabbles and there could be more.
Titans Tales by Tari Silmarwen
- Recommended by omegaman
- Pairings: Robin/Starfire, Beast Boy/Raven, Kid Flash/Jinx, Cyborg/Sarah Simms, Hot Spot/Argent
- Synopsis: A large collection of one-shots ranging from humorous to romantic to dramatic, taking place at various points of time during and after the show.
- Comments: One of the best Titans fics out there, and definitely one of the best Titans anthologies. The stories are well-written, mostly free of errors, and have great characterizations. Prefers canon and semi-canon shippings to fanon, but aside from that most any Teen Titans fan can find a story they would enjoy, as there's a metaphorical buffet to choose from, including some genuinely chilling Slade stories. Even better, the author still updates, despite the fic being nearly three years old.

- Pairings: Beast Boy/Raven, Robin/Starfire, Kid Flash/Hot Spot
- Synopsis: A anthology collection of stories, mainly Slice of Life. The majority focuses on Beast Boy and Raven, but there is enough stories to please fans of all characters.
- Comments: One of the best Teen Titans anthologies, inspired an increase in the number of Teen Titans anthologies fics, and was fairly well-known during its heyday.
Dust by Hanna Sedai
- Recommended by omegaman
- Pairings: Minor Starfire/Robin, Beast Boy/Terra
- Synopsis: Takes place after the Teen Titans Season 3 episode "Haunted". After Robin's physical brutalization and psychological traumatization at the hands of the illusionary Slade, an unseen foe begins launching a series of personal attacks on the Teen Titans, of which Robin's was the first. As Robin struggles against the threat of a nervous breakdown, he leads the Titans, with the sometimes aid of the Justice League, against this evil. Throughout it all, the specter of Slade casts a shadow, and Robin grapples with the question of why Slade wanted him as his apprentice.
- Comments: A masterpiece. The characterizations are spot-on, the Slade flashbacks truly chilling, and the mystery engrossing. Fans of Custody', like this troper, will truly enjoy this.
Never Again by Coeus
- Recommended by Gracie Geek
- Pairings: Suggested BB/Raven, but you can ignore the subtext if you want.
- Synopsis: Beast Boy took a deep breath, tightening his grip on her hand. "I did something, Raven. Something bad. And now I have to go someplace where I can try to get control of it. I can't let it take over again. Never again." Oneshot
- Comments: Dark Fic, starring the Beast from "The Beast Within". The ending is sort of rushed, but it's otherwise a very good (and heartbreaking) one-shot.
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Starfire by Karkadinn
- Recommended by Not JM Keynes
- Synopsis: A splinter group of a Christian church starts idolizing Starfire, of all people, as an angel! Dealing with this mundane but stressful issue in turn causes the Titans to debate their own spiritual beliefs..
- Comments: It has been said on this very wiki, more than one time, that religion and fanfiction shouldn't mix (A Crushed Empire, Harry Potter Turns to The Lord, that Percy Jackson fic whose name I forgot, et cetera), but I'd like to invoke Sturgeon's Law on this fic. The idea that Starfire is hailed by a group of mislead, but well-intentioned, Christians is the kicker for a really interesting dialogue between faith and worldviews among the heroes, and the aesop is reasonable enough for anyone, independent of religion or lack of it. Also a warning: the fic has a lot of funny moments and a severe Mood Whiplash in later chapters.
The Art Of Seduction by Hanna Sedai
- Recommended by Gracie Geek
- Synopsis: Slade takes Robin to a bar to pick up chicks. Hilarity ensues.
- Pairings: None - so it's not slash.
- Comments: Written as a companion for her Apprentice AU "Northern Star", but not necessary to read both (though I would recommend both) - all you need to know is that, during the fic, Robin is still Slade's apprentice. Has its serious moments and some angsting, but plenty of drunken hilarity. Not quite AU enough to file under the AU section.
Starless by Oracle In Vayne
- Recommended by Brain Sewage
- Synopsis: "Beast Boy intrudes upon what may be Raven's last visit to the rooftop."
- Pairings: Beast Boy/Raven
- Comments: Short but effective portrait of an awful moment for Beast Boy. A bit obscure at times, but very believable in the context of the series, and the flashbacks are a nice touch.
- Recommended by Chesire
- Synopsis: The Titans are trapt in the Tower with a murderer.
- Pairings: Robin/Starfire
- Comments: Chilling but well written in the later chapters there may be some OCC moments but that could be as a result of the stress the titans are under. A Dark and pretty haunting read.
What's in a Nameby HotaruofKonoha
- Recommended by Gr 3 mlinify
- Synopsis: While out on the town, Cyborg is called a racial slur by an ungrateful civilian. Cyborg and Starfire have a heartfelt discussion about why something stupid like a word can still hurt someone who identifies as an outsider.
- Comments: A very well-written oneshot that works as a deconstruction of the "Troq" episode while still being creative and insightful in its own right. Notable for its treatment of a sensitive subject with intelligent analysis rather than just a hamfisted indictment.
- Recommended by: CJ Croen 1393
- Synopsis: Blackfire unfreezes Kyd Wykkyd and tells him that if he helps her escape from her prison, she'll help the HIVE Five escape from theirs. He accepts, only to realize that his decision to help her might not have been a good idea...
- Pairing(s): A few Ship Teases between Kyd and Raven and some mention of Kyd/Angel, but otherwise lacks these.
- Comments: When I went into this fic, I was skeptical and totally expected a full on Draco in Leather Pants treatment on poor Kyd. I was pleasantly surprised. While he is portrayed sympathetically and is given an attempt at a freudian excuse, the story does nothing to hide the fact that Kyd is, well, a villain and has no regrets for his life of crime. He might skirt the Marty Stu line a little, but he's still given some good, steady characterization, as are See-More, Jinx (who is NOT bashed for betraying the HIVE Five, which pleases me greatly; if anything, she's a major woobie), Herald, Malchior, Warp and Blackfire. The story is pretty interesting too, and Kyd's hopes of getting his friends freed humanizes him a bit. If you're a fan of this surprisingly popular background villain, then I highly reccomend this Fic.
- Recommended by Harry BC Dresden
- Synopsis: Follows Dick Grayson in college as he meets Rachel Roth, Garfield Logan and Victor Stone in an original and rather realistic origin story for the Titans.
- Pairings: None to speak of.
- Comments: A nice take on the growth from normal teens to actual heroes that seems rather rare. All the characters get attention except Starfire, who has not yet appeared. Its sequel, Beginnings, appears to be abandon, but its 5 chapters are good also.

- Pairings: Beast Boy/Jinx
- Comments: A very interesting story which is starts literally the day after the battle against Trigon the story explores quite a few interesting points including how Beast Boy view all the Ship Tease between Raven and Robin. The story is compelling and quite funny it is howerver sadly a Dead Fic but what is written is pure gold

- Synopsis: It was supposed to be over. The reagent was gone from his system, and all the lights were on... so... how could he still be seeing Slade…? Immediately follows the events of "Haunted."
- Comments: As mentioned in the synopsis, this fanfic take place immediately after the episode Haunted, and it's about on how Robin continue to see Slade despite that his body is clean of the mind-dust, and doesn't show any other physical fault. A really chilling, tense and scary story about one Kid Hero's mind that seems to lose itself to the brink of insanity, and it gets more and more tense with each chapter as Slade shows up more increasingly and more aggressively. A big must to any Robin, Teen Titans or insanity-themed story fan. And to add the awesomeness, Batman appears as well and play a big role near the end.
Revenge of the Joker by Melimsah
- Recommended by Gracie Geek
- Synopsis: Robin gets kidnapped by an old "friend," and the Titans find themselves searching desperately for their leader, with little luck. Torture, angst, despair, destruction, death... Can they save him? An unusual kind of TT/Batman Beyond xover
- Comments: The basic premise of this fanfic is: taking the Joker Junior flashback scene from Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker and adapting it to include Dick instead of Tim. You think this fanfic will hold no suspense or surprise for you? You think that you've already scene the film, seen the flashback, so you know what will happen? You don't. This author does more than copy and paste the exact same scenario, she expands upon it (in realistic, gruesome and heartwrenching detail), throws in subplots and Titans-family-fluff and takes the reader on twists and turns that they would not expect even if they know the flashback scene like the back of their hand. It also focuses on the Titans' efforts to save him and their reactions, and includes Batman, the JLA and the Titans East. Grab the Kleenex, because this will reduce you to a mess of tears.
- Also has a sequel in progress, but it hasn't been updated for a while - though that doesn't mean it won't be in the future.
- Triggers: Strong language. Torture; blood. Non-sexual nudity.

- Comments: This bears repeating: it's Robin/Raven, and it is OPTIMISTIC. All of the Titans are well-characterized, and the writing is superb. If you ship the birds, you must read this. The fact that most chapters are fairly long only add to its appeal, since you won't feel shortchanged.

- Pairing: Jinx/Raven
- Synopsis: After the usual quick-heel-turn necessary for all Jinx/Raven romances, the two sorceresses grow closer as Raven watches over Jinx in her most difficult assignment yet; finding a steady job. The ending will leave you speechless.
- Comments: I like yuri. I'm not ashamed to admit it. But I really feel I have to recommend this story on the simple basis that it's GOOD. The author goes to great lengths over details (a conversation on arcane gems and daggers immediately springing to my mind), and one of my favorite recurring details is the fact that while Jinx has pale skin, she is in fact still Indian, and a devout Hindu at that. The details help to build the characters' personalities, culminating in a rather enjoyable climax. A must read for hetero and yuri pairing lovers alike.

- Comments: A well-written and deeply emotional tale. Very fluffy, with a few chapters of conflict near the end. Slightly Squicky at first, but it gets cute not too long after. May be too sweet for some, but Your Mileage May Vary. Rated M for a reason; not safe for minors.

- Pairing: Raven/Starfire
- Synopsis: Something dark within Raven has been building, ending in what will become the return of Trigon. Left without a choice, she must abandon morals and place faith in Starfire.
- Comments: A relatively intense and slightly depressing piece, it feels all the more hopeless told from Starfire's point of view. It only has two of the three chapters up but for sheer length you have found yourself a diamond. The characterizations are spot on with some maturity for flavor and the Titans East are there for actual plot purposes. It even goes into length about Raven's home world and why she is antisocial and tries to hide her emotions. You have to read it to believe it, summaries and comments don't count for much.

It actually works... although Robin needs a cold shower first to bring him out of shock. Meanwhile Raven finds herself a bit too worried about a certain green teammate, and a certain emotion causes her to do the same to him. However, the happiness is soon disrupted because of the past being brought up... very unpleasant past.
- A lot of familiar faces from comics make a visit.

- Pairing: Slade/Robin (So it's slash)
- Synopsis: An Apprentice rewrite with a wicked psychological twist. Can you truly be a victim when you're the only one who believes that you aren't?
- Comments: The most fucked-up, twisted fiction this troper has ever read. Rated M for a few good reason. It thoroughly reconstructs many boys' love tropes, including Rape Is Love and In Love with Your Carnage. You have been warned.

- Pairing: Beast Boy/Raven
- Synopsis: Beast Boy has found a new online video game. Who else is playing? What happens when one finds out?
- Comments: Unique take on Beast Boy and Raven's relationship. Ending is a bit rushed, but the beginning is fairly smooth.

- Pairing: Beast Boy / Robin
- Synopsis: "Do you remember the hunts we ran, the prey we killed?” His mouth brushed over Beast Boy’s ear, voice silken and tempting and loathed. “Do you remember the taste of blood?”
- Comments: One of the most appealing characterizations of Beast Boy I've ever seen—he isn't played off as moronic like he usually is in fanfics, and is given just that right balance of innocence and red-hot spirit. Although the central relationship focused on is Robin and Beastboy's, the splashes of how the rest of their team interacts with each of them one on one is a very nice touch. A little graphic at times, but it is completely worth reading.

- Pairing: Beast Boy/Raven
- Synopsis: The beast has branded Raven for its mate, but she refuses to believe that he can claim her. Can Beast Boy convince her that she is the one to satiate him? Or will reason rule over love?
- Comments: Very much a Dark Fic and deserving of the M rating. Not shy about the sex or some Unfortunate Implications, and is rather graphic, but don't be scared away. It's absolutely amazing. Not yet complete.

The Measure of a Titan By General Havoc

- Synopsis: A rehash of season 4 with an OC who joins the group for protection against Cinderblock.
- Comments: I'm not going to spoil you by telling you everything about the story. Just know that David Foster is one of the most interesting OC's in the history of fanfiction. His interactions with the Titans are believable and insightful, and the entire fic is filled to the brim, from start, to near-finish, with action, suspense, and a tiny bit of Chris Carter Syndrome and Jigsaw Puzzle Plot that actually works well.
- Like the above troper so eloquently said, David Foster is one of the most interesting OCs I've come across so far. It messes with the timeline a bit, but it's done amazingly, and you can't say it doesn't work. If you like AUs, give it a read, it's definitely worth it. - Joker T Mc Duff

- Pairings: Starfire/Robin. Minor Cheshire/Speedy and Slade/Adeline.
- Synopsis: Apprentice AU. Six months later, Robin is still serving under Slade, and is struggling not to give in to Slade's way of thinking. Meanwhile, the Titans (who are aware of the probes and the blackmail) are trying to find a way to save Robin, with help from Batman and the rest of the Justice League. Explores the motives and history behind Slade.
- Comments: The summary above does not do this fantastically written fanfic justice. Includes supers from all over DC (though you don't have to know much about the JLA and the extended DCU to follow the story), and the author firmly averts the Reset Button and Status Quo Is God at the end. This reader could feel Robin's will slowly being worn away with each chapter as Slade messed with his head, and the ending... lets just say that it left this troper stunned and awed. It also helps that Jared and Larry Holden were two very likeable and believable OC s.
- Kudos to the author for managing to keep Slade the Magnificent Bastard we all know, whilst simultaneously making him a nuanced, three-dimensional character. One of the best Slade characterisations I have seen in a TT fanfic.
- Now has a sequel, of sorts, featuring Dick as Batman and Damian as Robin.

- Pairings: Very slow Kid Flash/Jinx
- Synopsis: In which a twist in time reverses the familiar roles. Now Jinx is the hero and Kid Flash the villain. Leave behind reality and all preconceived notions and journey...
- Comments: Pretty much exactly what the synopsis says - it's exploring a universe in which Jinx and Kid Flash's roles are reversed, but it's a lot more focused on Jinx. There's a lot of worldbuilding, backstory, set up, and a ton of character development, and it's quite addicting once you get into it! Be forewarned, thought the chapters are pretty short there's currently 79 of them. It also features a few other characters from the DC Universe.

- Synopsis: Mass-murderer Gray is captured and sent to prison where he meets Cyberion, Red and Roth - three people who are just as twisted, if not more, than he is.
- Comments: The author does a great job of taking the Titans we know and love, and twisting them in dark ways. The writing can get very mind-screwy at times, to good effect.
- Triggers: Murder and references to murder; references to, and implied, sexual situations.
