Tales of Hetalia

Tales of Hetalia is a fanmade Axis Powers Hetalia game told in RPG format, based on the Tales (series).

In the beginning, it shows the Allies in World War II trying to look for a book the Axis read and end up finding a book entitled Rukassia. After reading it, they are sucked into that very world.

Now, in Rukassia, demons and humans have a bitter rivalry that sparked an attack from the demon queen Medusa, using the body of a priestess named Jane against the humans and the humans retaliated back with the Spell of Judgement which summons the Eight Judges of the Cosmos to destroy them. Unfortunately, the spell fails and both Medusa and Jane die from Jane's intervention.

Skip to a thousand years later where demons are virtually extinct in the eyes of the humans and this is the time where our heroes jump in and meet a demon named Lilette Einmell that accompanies them and tries to help them get back home.

Tropes used in Tales of Hetalia include:

• Abuse Is Okay When Its Female On Male: Melody verbally and physically abuses Rondo and treats him like a pet. Of course, this is supposed to be his punishment for killing Princess Preludia
• The Alliance: Our Allied forces of course plus Lilette
• Arbitrary Headcount Limit: Like many other RPGs, there's only four to a party out of six so far.
• Bolt of Divine Retribution: Arthur's Mystic Arte is Indignation, a Tales specialty. The background screen changes as he gets further in the incantation and after the cut in, all enemies on screen are hit with the lightning bolts. It took three Indignations to defeat the monsters in the video demo.
• Bonus Material: The Omakes at the end of a couple of episodes where the actual creator makes cameo appearances and there is usually No Fourth Wall. Much Hilarity Ensues.
• Capital City: Rukassia's is called just that.
• Continuity Nod: Many of the spells and artes such as Demon Fang and First Aid are directly taken from Tales
• Convection, Schmonvection: The fire temple
• Corrupt Church: And how! The Church of Judgement fully supports the arrival of the Judges to wipe out the entire demonic race.
• Curb Stomp Battle: The pirates attacking Forain had no chance against Pirate Arthur.
  • The first battle with the Axis has Ludwig and Kiku defeat the party with One-Hit Kills.
• Dating Sim: The affection scenes play out like this with Lilette and another Ally. Word of God has said the Axis will be available too.
• Disguised in Drag: In part 6, Yao dresses up as a girl to accompany Lilette and the Duke to a party.
• Elemental Powers: Though it is not revealed who has which element, except for China and America, the Judges each have a power over an element.
• Foreshadowing: Alfred's sickness in the desert sets off more than one viewer.
• Fantastic Racism: Most humans are racist towards demons after their revival. It doesn't help that most of the demons they see are trying to instigate fights.
• Five-Man Band:
  • The Hero: America/Alfred F. Jones, the Dual-Wielding swordsman. hmmm....
  • The Lancer: England/Arthur Kirkland. He switches between this and The Smart Guy with Francis. Is also the mage.
  • The Smart Guy: France/Francis Bonnefoy with Twin Guns.
  • The Big Guy: Russia/Ivan Braginski who uses a Spear
  • The Chick: China/Wang Yao, The Archer/Combat Medic
  • Sixth Ranger: Lilette Einmell, the White Mage Healer.
• Innocent Fanservice Girl: Lilette, as of Part 11. Apparently, she sees nothing wrong with her clothes being torn and her idea of how pregnancy works is...original.
• Instant Plunder, Just Add Pirates: The group gets their ship, the Queen Victoria, from pirates who attacked Forain. How? Arthur in pirate mode kicks the pathetic lot's rears with his magic and boldly declares that he was once a feared captain himself. While it provides Fanservice for the fangirls, Lilette...not so much.
  • Mentioned again in his Queen Victoria affection scene. Lilette will actually tell him her favorite story(in this affection route) is about a Loveable Rogue pirate and even asks him to tell her about his pirate days.
• Late Arrival Spoiler: The Allies and Axis are the Judges.
• Light Is Not Good: The Church of Judgement's racism towards demons makes them downright annoying that even the Allies get annoyed.
• Our Demons Are Different: The demons of Rukassia have white hair and most live in Niflheim.
• Pet the Dog: Lilette at least tries to make a conversation with the cursed Rondo but gets kissed instead.
  • Flat and Melody show sign of this toward Feliciano. Melody just rudely brushes him off as Flat shows signs of definite Ship Tease after seeing that he's relatively harmless.
• Retcon: Part 1
• Ship Tease: If all the affection scenes were not enough, there are hints to US/UK, Fr/UK, and Ro/Chu.
  • As of Part 12, Rondo/Lilette after he planted a Forced Kiss on her.
• Shout-Out: Alfred has all of Lloyd Irving's artes and even the same weapon. Lloyd is also played by Katsuyuki Konishi in Japan.
  • In addition, Masaya Onosaka plays both Francis and Zelos Wilder. The first scene Francis is in mimics Zelos' opening scene.
  • There are also Zelda references using the Item Get music.
• The Smurfette Principle: Lilette is the only girl among the party.
• Take That: "People don't deserve to die because of their race!"
• Theme Naming: The demons of Niflheim are named after musical terms like Sonata, Melody, Flat, Sharp, and Rondo.
  • Hades and Medusa are figures in Greek Mythology.
• There Is Only One Bed: In Part 2, Alfred and Arthur share Lilette's bed.
• White-Haired Pretty Girl: Lilette, Flat, and Melody apply.
• Wholesome Crossdresser: Yao is chosen to cross dress and act as a second date to the Duke in Parts 5 and 6. Hilarity Ensues.
