Robot Chicken/YMMV
- Acceptable Targets: Lindsay Lohan has almost constantly been the subject of parody on the show, and is depicted as a drunken bimbo whose speech is made entirely out of a slurred screech.
- And the Fandom Rejoiced:
- Mark Hamill as the Joker in a Season 4 sketch.
- Hamill also did Luke Skywalker.
- Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian in a couple of Star Wars sketches.
- And himself in a scene involving him defending Lando's actions, at the grocery store.
- Non Sequitur Scene: Technically all of them are this, but skits like J.R.R.Tolkein Jr Jr stands out see why.
- Crosses the Line Twice:
- They do this one a lot. For a specific example, there's the " Darkest Sketch Ever".
- A close second would be Hannah Montana's Lennon-esque murder, and Miley's friends trying to cover it up by carrying her corpse around.
- Another example would be in The Muppets / I Know What You Did Last Summer sketch, Fozzie's been stabbed and wonders out on stage, Statler and Waldorf heckle him and call him an ambulance.
- Crowning Music of Awesome: The "Piano God" number, although short is indeed quite awesome.
- Le Wrath di Khan. I need not say more.
- The music playing when the chicken storms the scientist's castle, by Electric Romeo.
- Dude, Not Funny:
- It's hard to avoid with their style of comedy.
- A huge example came with a sketch making fun of the Challenger accident. The episode aired days after the 25th anniversary of said accident. Fans were not amused.
- Many skits can become this for people by having the situation become disturbingly violent, particularly in the more recent seasons, with the Joker Execution in Season 4's Catch Me If You Kangaroo Jack being a more hated example for this.
- The Toy Story 4 sketch. It involves Andy and his girlfriend having sex in his bedroom, much to the toys' horror. The worst part, however, is when Andy uses Buzz as a bong, irreversibly damaging the latter's brain. And Woody's the one putting Buzz out of his misery.
- The NORAD vs. Santa sketch. Especially the ending.
- The Zombie Idol Sketch. Especially the part where zombie Kurt Cobain blows his head off with a shotgun. Even the writers on the DVD commentary admitted they had reservations about that joke.
- Ensemble Darkhorse: Gary the Stormtrooper, from... quite a few of the StarWars shorts.
- Funny Aneurysm Moment:
- The Gary Coleman gag with him being punted by a football player and sent to heaven...yeah.
- The Jamie Lynn Spears sketch which involved her becoming an award winning actress who looked back sympathetically on her sister's mental breakdown. Guess whose pregnancy resulted in her show getting cancelled?
- The skit where a pegasus is tortured and enslaved by a little girl shares many uncanny similarities to the My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic Fanfic Cupcakes. Even more uncannily, one of her previous victims was a griffon.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: A season 4 sketch featured Dakota Fanning challenging Triple H to a wrestling match in John Cena's place, claiming she was only at the event to promote her new movie. The sketch debuted on a episode of Monday Night Raw, where Seth Green had placed himself into a tag team match with Cena & Triple as his partners, when he was only at the show to promote Robot Chicken as one of Raw's first Guest Hosts (Celebrities appearing on the show in order to promote their latest works, or because they were Local Sporting Heroes).
- That sketch on board games becoming movies. Guess who's getting movie on the Summer of 2012?
- Memetic Mutation:
- (kick to the nuts) CAPTAAAAAAAAAAAAIN PLANET!!
- Protect the environment.... OR I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!
- What a TWEEST!
- I'm Lindsay...Luhhhn...
- DICKS, WITH TIME MACHINES!
- Nightmare Fuel:
- Mars is amazing... Mars is amazing...
- There's a segment with Lil Hitler where he tells his teacher that he needs a Polish boy's desk. Cut to a Polish boy next to him, sweating. You'd think sweating wouldn't be funny, but when someone's sweating clay (or whatever that is), it really IS unsettling. This is also Nausea Fuel.
- The Gummy Bear has...a rather horrifyingly painful scream for some.
- Go, go, Gadget Terminator.
- The freaking bungee jumping skit.
- The Joker under the electric chair.
- Darkwing Duck being cooked alive in the oven with Gosalyn, his daughter, watching in horror. Then at the end, he is served to her and Michael Moore and is decapitated and Gosalyn's scream echoes into the credits!
D.W.: AT LEAST SLIT MY THROAT FIRST!!!
Fireman: THEIR FACES! THEIR HORRIBLE FACES!
Astronauts: *Perpetual Smiler* *screaming*
- On an airplane, a boy comments that the people below look like ants. Then this happens.
- Seasonal Rot:
- Whether or not this applies to the second season has inspired many a Flame War.
- It's gotten so bad of late that season 5 has basically devolved to Love It or Hate It status.
- Shallow Parody: One sketch spoofing Pokémon had Ash wondering what it's like for Pikachu to be inside his pokeball. Except that Pikachu never goes inside a pokeball because he hates being inside it.
- Shocking Swerve:
- Tear Jerker: The Kraken/Shawshank Redemption sketch is surprisingly sad.
- The clown car crash sketch in "The Curious Case of The Box" is even more tragic.
- The ending to NORAD vs. Santa.
- Toy Story 4
- "I don't know, boys. I just don't know."
- One-Armed Wampa.
- Weird Al Effect: The series has become sort of a Weird Al Effect making machine almost on the level of Alice in Wonderland. It doesn't help that a fair portion of it's audience has never seen the 80's cartoons it parodies.
