Obscurus Lupa/YMMV
- Designated Hero: In Magic Island, she notes that the "buccaneer" heroes basically have the same goal as the "pirate" villains; the only difference seems to be if they want the treasure to spend or just for the adventure of getting it.
- Fan Dumb: Lupa experienced quite a bit of this following her review of My Little Pony: The Princess Promenade from fans of My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic due to her not mentioning that series at all in her review. Despite saying numerous times on Twitter that she has seen the show but it isn't really her thing, she got flooded with comments and tweets from Bronies accusing her of deliberately ignoring the new series, accusing her of saying Friendship Is Magic is terrible and that the original series is better (neither of which she said) and repeatedly demanding her to watch the show so she can see how wrong she is and to make reviews of it. It got to the point where the backlash became so ridiculous that Lupa has now vowed to never watch the series due to the harassment she received.
- Growing the Beard: Though she was funny from the start, the 13 Seconds review really solidified the format, including the silly sketches and voices. Fittingly, she even draws a goatee on for her dual role at the end.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: In the Linkara/Phelous crossover review of The AirZone Solution?, she makes repeated appearances, including one scene in which Linkara tries to get her to reenact a sex scene from the film. "Why is everyone on this site in love with me?" At present, she is dating one of the guys involved in the review... and it's not Linkara.
- Ho Yay:
"The natural place to go from there is a homoerotic scene where Bolt arm wrestles in the shower."
- Memetic Sex God: There's a running gag in TGWTG videos that everyone's in love with her. It started with Todd in the Shadows (who's developed into quite the Stalker with a Crush now) and gradually broadened to encompass other TGWTG guys.
Welshy: Oh my god! She got another one. Film Brain now is in love with Obscurus Lupa.
- Narm: She had a fit of giggles at Johnny's suicide in The Room. She has a similar reaction to Sarah's murder in Angel of Fury.
- The first time the CGI birds appear in Birdemic also elicits this response.
- They Just Didn't Care: Lupa remarks she thinks this is the main reason why She Wolf of London went downhill after it became Love and Curses - which resulted in Character Derailment for Ian and Randi as well as much sillier stories.
- What Do You Mean It Wasn't Made on Drugs?: Teen Sorcery takes so many weird turns that Lupa asks at one point, "What, did we suddenly go into an acid trip?"
